Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

We booked our tickets to New Zealand, so we will be in Christchurch from November 1 for a bit over a week. I'm looking at the options for how we're going to get around and where we're going to go and it's all looking a bit more expensive than I was hoping for. Looking forward to the trip though. Sh...

Re: Kankeri Japan

So, as of nine weeks ago I have been working as a learning adviser. I have changed my kicking schedule to three days a week, approximately 30-60 mins each time. Additionally, most weeks we have hack on the weekends. Life is good.

Re: A Master with a Riceball

TJ!! My school is solely focused on media and journalism, so we don't even have a gym. But there might be a way to get them to support me doing a video from Worlds. I should look into that. Asmus!! Do you think they would support you to do a video for Worlds? I liked your video. What was being said...

Good to hear from you TJ. Still playing too?
Yup, still kicking! Since taking up a new role at uni that is less stressful than teaching, I have moved kicking to three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I should start taking more vids and posting them.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

Haven't got much to report on the footbag front. Trying to get some further plans to get to New Zealand. We are definitely going, just got to decide the amount of days and exactly where to go. I'm sure you will, but keep me in the loop. I will try to make it wherever for some shred. As an FYI if yo...

Re: Muffinman

I may have footbag dreams but thinking about it now they aren't often. On a similar note, more often than not when I can't fall asleep I imagine doing long strings, really visualizing each trick, as a way to relax and get sleepy. A footbagger's version of counting sheep I suppose. As an FYI I am sti...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

Nice first run you got there. I don't remember seeing too much nuclear stuff from you, so great! I tried a few the last time I kicked but nothing really happened. They are tough. I came close to footing 69 a month or so ago but thought that my sets and atomics needed some work before it would feel s...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

And in reality I haven't been to a competition since then, which is kind of disappointing. At least there have been a few visitors to these shores, but I do really love that feeling of the competition (or a jam), though even though I'm never going to win Worlds or something like this, I do like to ...

Re: A Master with a Riceball

Assmousse, Great to read from you! Hopefully you get back into kicking soon. I'm sure you will. About worlds and being poor, you could perhaps investigate if the gym/rec centre where you study has a programme to support elite athletes? I have gotten funding to travel to tourneys before so you may be...

I don't care if those links took more than one take because less than a year ago I don't think you could have done those with all of the takes in the world. Holy shit development! Really looking good homie, and as I mentioned before I love seeing that MI flavor in your style. Keep going.

nice stuff Ken. Was that drool you were wiping off of your shirt a bit into the vid? :) In addition to the drills Daniel suggested, what about something like: stepping same clipper > stepping same osis > rpt gyro clip > gyro osis > rpt Not sure if those are at the level you are looking for but didn'...

Re: New Lavers -- modifying & playability -- observations

Any chance of those pics you mentioned? :P Unfortunately I don't think I have the pictures since my phone died before I could get them off. Sorry! In retrospect, how did the new heavy Lavers fare for freestyle? No real issues...in fact, I think I may have used that same pair at World's in 2017 when...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

My wisdom teeth, on the other hand, were quite bad. The dentist took the orthondontic equivalent of a hammer and chisel and smashed my two lower ones. It didn't hurt that much at the time, being medicated and all, but that night one of the sides burst open and I had more than one mouthful of blood t...

How did you get injured dubiously? I have an intermittent injury in my left leg where I get tendonitis that kind of jumps around between the ankle and knee. I'll get a particular joint strengthened through rehab and it will feel really good, but then I will play a bit too much or too hard and then ...

Thanks TJ! I will keep my eye out for travel opportunities to NZ, but if it will happen it will probably not be until 2020 or 2021. Do you think you will attend any events this year? I am not sure if you saw the announcement, but worlds will be in Warsaw this summer. I'm not sure if I can make it y...

Thanks for the videos Dante! I really wanted to go this year, but didn't want to risk it since I was dubiously injured. Now I can experience it vicariously through your clips.
