Re: Nice Uribe

Wow so much activity in my blog in the past few days! Remember when all of Modified used to be that busy... So strange that we favour Facebook now, which is pretty terrible at revisiting old content. Yeah, Uribe has an awesome style. Just little things, like how edges are hinted at but not even real...

Sounds like a blast! Too bad you missed the whirlyball -- that game's a blast!! Did you say that you've been to past NYJs?

Re: LOTD

After reading Erik's latest post about his back issues and how they've sidelined him not just from footbag but also from work, I definitely feel like I can't complain though. Yeah, there's no way I could ever have kids! I can barely carry myself. I'm also happy for you, though, for never having to ...

Re: Muffinman

Hey TJ, thanks for the concern. Yeah, I'm confident it will blow over. Playing footbag again?... I'm optimistic, though don't think it will be any time soon at this rate. I'll definitely come back and post here when I'm playing again, if Modified still exists then lol. It's quite slow, though I do g...

I put all the videos together in this post here - http://sportslashlife.com/sportlife-eur ... ur-videos/
Nice! A few times a year I go and watch all of these, so having them in one spot is great!
Also, nice job on keeping up with so much consistent shred and video! So impressive!

Siiick. Congrats! Consecutive barflies feel soooo good. A single attempt to hit 6 more than you ever have before is insane!

Re: Muffinman

Haven't played for over a year now. Met up with Alex and Dante on, like, November 30 and did some tiltless and pigbeaters for like 5 minutes and did something real bad to my back. I've been basically bed-ridden since, on a leave of absence from work. Suuucks. Dylan Fry's jam is next weekend here in ...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

This post is already pretty long, but something Derek posted about getting voted out of BAP gave me a little idea - it would be good to have some kind of "power ranking". Maybe like a monthly thing, could be like a top 5/10 and takes in recent results, videos etc. So you have to keep producing the ...

2,500 videos 8O I remember you started posting tons of videos right after Asmus interviewed me for that online footbag magazine years ago, where one of my answers to something claimed that I had uploaded the most footbag videos on the internet. I always had a suspicion that you were trying to beat m...

Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder

100% on that first paragraph. Competing myself is stupid because it limits having fun not only at sideline shred, but even scheduling sightseeing outings! But even just going to an event without competing is so frustrating because competitors want to save their bodies and sometimes only play as warm...

Yikes. be careful!
Also, nice highlights. Really like the gyro osis one. Ever since CSS2 footage of Lon doing gyro osis > pdx whirl repeat > gyro osis > barfly > repeat (and maybe some other tricks?) I've wanted to replicate, but playing out of gyro osis is so much harder than it sounds!

Thanks guys! RECOVERY I haven't finished the book. I got like 3/4 of the way through and it was only him saying "People think they have a physical ailment that needs to be treated, but it's actually just pent-up "anger"/emotional turmoil 'causing the pain." He kept giving case studies for like 3 hou...

Re: Muffinman

Yup, looking forward to seeing Dylan. I think I only met him a couple of times — Worlds 2007 and Worlds 2010. And, yeah he told me that he’s JUST getting over 7 years of back pain. He recommended a book to me that is basically fixing back pain with mind over matter. I’m listening to the audiobook wi...
