I never played in g-units, but from looking at pictures it seems to have more body too it(its basically thicker all around). I would say this just makes the shoe heavier and the fit wouldn't be as 'sock' like as the lavers are. I also heard the shoe is much better for preventing injury, so I may try...

For sure, I changed my laces back and the bag doesnt bounce off the laces anymore. The stock ones are definately the way to go.
