I will have bags for sale by the time this tourney comes around. I don't mind sharing a room with people. Non-smoking preferred, but I'll go with whatever works with people with whatever they want to do. Kind of stoked about taking a tour around Rutgers Uni. or even playing on campus. NYFA represent...

The white/red refurbished 32 has white hexes that are like meshed denim. Pretty strong, but it stiffens the bag. The grey/orange's hexes are little bit like amaretta except it has a really rough underside. Re-sewing is a bit awkward because the holes made by the previous stitcher used a thicker thre...

Here's a funky picture: https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/229660_772451978144_26301209_37923028_2256158_n.jpg Experimented on a low-gather Pakistani-style sewing method. Pents are microsuede and hexes are from an old Elemental Freestyler 32. For hex I made an extra hole on each end to accommodate for...

Finally got my custom 42-panel-hexagon templates from my friend Bruce (dolercoaster here on fizzied). I'll be making more 42s without struggling to force the pents to compromise with the hexes. :)

But I have 2 bags in mind that I want to make for the USO that will blow all of your minds. Stay tuned~

It doesn't look black, so it must be grey. Sky Blue is the name of this fabric on Field's Fabrics. Pentagons were meant for a 12-paneled bag, or a huge 32, but I managed to find a method to squeeze large pentagons with the small hexagon template I had to make the seams look sharp and crisp while emp...

Sewing 42s have taught me that it's like sewing a 20-panel into a 12 or 32-panel layout. Here's my loose-stitch, little to no gather result: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/261594_744314974924_26301209_37651228_2246093_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/2...

Thanks, Brian, for posting the hexagon template. It'll definitely help with making several different sized templates for myself. I'll try to edit this post sometime tonight or tomorrow with my finished 42-panel. :) edit: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/265075_743581185444_263012...

Louis Rinowski is the only stitcher I've known that tackled the pattern and made a successful one. I think he made a custom template too.

If I had a busted Twisted, I could make a template out of it and make the bag. It'd be a fun challenge.

I took a look at your website, and saw your blog post about the 42-panel bag that you made. It just so happens that I've been working on a 42-panel myself, but I need to make templates of varying sizes for the hexagon. Do you know where to find a generator online to make such a design?

That bag is Dark Jade / gold foil brown microsuede (sans the gold foil...). It was sold to Jackson of the Pennsylvania crew under Nick's guiding eye.

I had heaps of fun as well. Vegas was beautiful; it's city lights and weather surreal. Can't wait to come back next year.
