Re: Right or Wrong Ways To Execute a Trick?

Nick you may have misunderstood me. I didn't say you should keep your support foot planted, just that you shouldn't specifically use it as the force that is setting the bag (except as additional force when you want a high set for ducking/spinning). In fact it's usual for the support foot to bounce a...

Re: Forum "likes"

Great idea Asmus. I had a few other thoughts; 1. A stat in the little profile below post count saying "Props" or "Likes" or whatever they're called, with a total tally. 2. Not being able to like/prop your own posts. 3. A page where you can see a history of who liked your posts, and perhaps something...

Re: Pixie/Open

I disagree. You should be able to pixie reasonably well while keeping the support foot on the ground. There's not much use doing that, but I think it's an indication of good form. I was thinking about this the other day (drilling fairy sets). An indication of good form on both of those is how well y...

Re: Forum "likes"

Oh, I can upvote my own posts. Just nobody else's.

Edit; Also it would be good if it were possible to remove upvotes. If I accidentally click on that on a post that I don't like, I'll be mad :P Thanks though, I think this is a great addition to the forum.

Re: Forum "likes"

I'm not sure it's working, unless I'm having a Monday Afternoon moment (It's Tuesday but yesterday was a public holiday in Australia). I can see the thumbs with the number, but can't see anyway of adding my vote. I've tried clicking everywhere :P

Re: Modified Book Club

I did find the assistants funny, especially the scene in the Mayor's office with all the papers in the wardrobe, and at the end they tip it on its end are jumping up and down on it to try to get the doors closed. There were other moments that were amusing, and at times I thought it might be satire. ...

Re: Modified Book Club

Ok so I finally finished The Castle. I'll put some spoilers in my review, so be careful :P I didn't enjoy this much, as stated in the other topic, because so little happens and there is so much detail about the bureaucracy that probably served a purpose, but was painful to read. The characters were ...

Re: Modified Book Club

Just thought I'd let people know that I have an eBook of this months Invitation to a Beheading, if anybody is having trouble finding a copy. Let me know if you want me to email it to you. Also I am into the final 100 pages of The Castle and hope to finish today. I've found the book very frustrating,...

Re: Popular drills list?

Back when I started playing "drill" meant that you kept hitting the combo over and over - like "fiesta drill" wasn't barrage>paradon once, but as many times as you could. The same applied to rubberman etc. You weren't hitting rubberman drill if you hit blur>atomsmasher>legbeater>blur>atomsmasher>leg...

Good work Dave. I've been too busy and am only a small amount of way in so far, but I'm going to persist and finish, and then hopefully get onto the book for this month and finish that before the end too!

Re: Not Sorry

It's a pretty common rule amongst circle kickers where you're trying to get "hacks". It's much less common in freestyle circles. We never had penalties for saying "sorry" though, it was just a rule that you couldn't say it.

Re: Canberra, Australia>Santiago de Chile - Daniel Boyle

Sorry for your loss Daniel. On worlds, my understanding is that Paris is the only city with a current bid for worlds but it hasn't been finalised because they need local government approval for the main venue, and this hasn't occurred yet, although they are working on lining up backup venues too. I ...

Re: Spanish guitar

My friend Tom plays footbag occasionally, badly, and also plays the occasional Spanish piece, but he plays classical guitar predominately. Here's a youtube video from a random person on the street watching him busk :P

Re: Footbag Grammar - Capitalise Move Names

Although google tells me that "-osis" is a Latin suffix, so perhaps osi would be acceptable, although it does refer to "a state of disease," so I'm not sure footbag Osis has the same roots.

Re: Footbag Grammar - Capitalise Move Names

You're only supposed to use "i" plurals for Latin words (which is why the plural of octopus is "octopuses" or arguably more correct "octopodes").
