a possible footbag shoe by avia

Post by hotstepper » 15 Jun 2006 01:23

I was shopping in the shopping district here last weekend and I saw a pair of shoes made by avia. I thought that company disappeared with the 80s but low and behold they still exist. Ok I will stop the digression, anyway these shoes resemble my favourite footbag shoe the New Balance CT 300 except it has a really weird sole. I don't really know how to describe the sole except as something from the not too distant future, maybe 2014, nah 2016 that is about right. Unfortunately my phone is broken so I didn't get any pictures of them. They are getting a pair in my size so I hope to have them some time this month.

If anyone knows anything about these shoes let me know. They are blue and made of canvas.

PS: the leather replacement for the CT 300 here is know as the new balance 420.

You do know the New Balance CT 300's arent footbag shoes, dont you? They are just shoes that might work for footbag, even if not as good as goonits or lavers. Dont worry, the shoes you saw were probably just ordinary shoes. If it didnt say footbag on it, you can bet it wasnt made for footbag.

Haha, that's funny!

He knows they aren't shoes made for footbag! With this talk about REAL footbag shoes, everyone seems to have forgotten that we still search shoe stores to find shoes that WORK for footbag.

Micheal know's his stuff. He's saying that CT 300's are footbag shoes because HE likes to wear, not because they were made for footbag. Look forward to seeing if these work!

..Uhm, sorry but, duh. Was this post sarcastic and I just missed out? Rod lavers aren't footbag shoes either. Whatever pair of shoes works for you is footbag shoes. I havent seen the new balances or the avia, running shoes are hard for me to stall on, thats cool that you found a new pair man, pics?

Thanks for the useless commentary Hakker. I know that they are not "footbag" shoes. Now seriously, I have owned several pairs of lavers but like alot of taller or bigger footbaggers lavers offer insufficient support for our height or weight. Therefore an alternative is necessary. I have gone through two pairs of ct 300s and the pair I am using now are about to crap out so I need a new shoe.

Lavers, for me, lead to incredible shin splints, like so many players who use them, that they are no use to me. That is including speacilized atheletic soles in the lavers.

If anyone does have any information about these shoes let me know. I will try to get pics in a week or so when I get my phone back and have time to go down to the shopping district here. It is just some guy selling in a little shop about the size of a cardboard box so hopefully everything works out.

hakker, shutup.

Michael is obviously a very experience player. He doesnt need advice from someone who has been playing for like.. 3 months, especially if its sarcastic useless advice.

Hmm..Well, you obviously already have experience modding and trying out shoes other than lavers. I've never heard of these particular shoes you're talking about, but hey, sometimes you gotta be a pioneer ya know? If they look playable, I say go for it man. You can always do a Monty Ward mod on those mofos.

Honestly, they look identical to ct 300s except they for those futuristic soles. I will be getting my phone back on monday so next weekend I will at least go take a picture of them. Hopefully, they will have the pair in my size.

No not too much experience with other shoes besides lavers and ct 300s. But lavers just kill me, and some other players I know, I hope that this can offer a viable possibility.

How do the new balance ct300's play? are they anything like the ct520's? I'm a tall player and have some problems with shin splints when using lavers.
