Try again, there's no way you can take any of the material off without taking all of the stitching out , and besides, that's not mesh, the inside is cotton, it wouldn't hold up.

Hey, you can mod them. I have a pair of baby lavers that are the quilted leather that have been modded. I've also seen JP and a few others wear them modded for shred.

It's actually pretty easy. Just take out the stitching with a stitch ripper first and then mod them like you would leather lavers and g-units by cutting out the outside layer of leather. There's some foam underneath the leather that you may need to pick off, but that's the extent of the mod. The surface should hold up decently, similar to g-unit surfaces because it has an interweaving reinforcement to the cotton canvas.

That's a lot of work for casual shoes.....I've just cut the toe box open, that's the extent of what I'm gonna do.

If I wanted good shred shoes, I'd use one of my other sets.

Well, my brand new lavers came in the mail today, thanks Kool Kolo!! The new (made in china) version is sooo light. Can't wait to kick in these.

Anyways, here are my 3 sets of lavers. My sister lost my digital camera when her car was stolen a couple months ago, so all I have are pictures from my cell phone..

1. The Shandles. My oldest pair, got them in high school. I'd say they are a good 6.5 years old.. with no tongue. All the stitching is coming apart.. but the sole is in remarkably good condition. wtf? When I modified them, I cut the mesh off instead of the material underneath it, woops!

2. My 2nd pair of lavers.. and yes I cut the wrong part off for these aswell. They are also from the high school days, I'd say 5-6 years old. They still have the tongue but the sole is completely falling apart, wtf! They were sitting in my closet for the past couple years as I haven't been kicking much in the past few, but I pulled them out last weekend to meet up with a few local kickers.. and well they did not agree with the gym floor we kicked on.. they literally started coming apart as I was kicking. Little blue and white bits everywhere, wtf!! Seriously glad I ordered a new pair a couple days before.

3. My brand new, right out of the box lavers. Looking forward to modding these the right way hahaha.

not for shred, they'll probably do a little light kicking, though. I'm just posting them because I just got the high bid on ebay for these, should be here in a couple days.

thanks yo. I'm not surprised that you haven't seen them before. They are a sample pair, which means that they were produced in super small numbers. I love sample pairs.

I can't wait to get them.
