I'll try tonight to get a picture of the minimal packaging. LOL

What I like about the box is it's simplicity. You could easily sneak it into the background of any shred video. Especially black and white footage. Classic.

So I played last night in the dark under street lights. I had a blast! The control is crazy. I switched back to my broken-in lavers half-way through the session and then switched back LOL. I have never disliked Lavers so much until after playing in these shoes. The protos did not play as well as the actual shoes and that's a good thing. One thing I noticed about Lavers is how stiff they are, and even all tricked out are still bricks.

I plan to find some really good inserts to cushion the heel and then I think I will be ready to shred it up. Pixies were not a problem as they were in the protos.

I love these shoes!

Hi Cameron,

Yes, 42 is a size 10. Here is the breakdown of the conversion that applies to "this" particular production line:

Euro 46 = US 14 new
Euro 45 = US 13
Euro 44 = US 12
Euro 43 = US 11
Euro 42 = US 10 running low
Euro 41 = US 9 Black Sold Out, White only 10 more left
Euro 40 = US 8
Euro 39 = US 7
Euro 38 = US 6
Euro 37 = US 5
Euro 36 = US 4 Sold Out, Both Colors
Euro 35 = US 3

Sorry for the delayed info.
Hope this helps!

size and fit of shoes

Post by simplyqueen1 » 11 Feb 2010 01:44

Please email me at nucleusfootwear@yahoo.com if your shoes fit too snug or re: the fit in general. Your toes should NOT be cramped at the toe box! If it is, then this may NOT be the right size for you. I'm trying to analyze variations in what people perceive as true fit. Many people have been going one size big...some even 2 sizes so that when they put in an insole, it will fit better.

If you have already received your shoes, please email me so I can make appropriate recommendations to those who haven't purchased yet and allow exchanges within a few days from receiving your purchase.

Communication is key so please fwd your thoughts!

I got mine 2 days ago :) yiiieehaaaaa!!!!! :D

here's my size comparison:
I wear qu02 US10 and qu03 10,5 and the nucleus US 10 fits very good for me. I like it when my shred-shoes fit tight, which all of them are. I use Spenco cross trainers, not the original insoles, which should be considered too.

I have also lavers US10 for walking around, and I think they are a bit too big for my shred preferences, but I never tried 9,5.
and my G-units size is US 9,5 8)

I wear 11.5 Lavers (US) and have been lucky enough to try quite a few sizes since the shoes are now available.

What I found:

Euro 43 = 11 (true) - Since I wear 11.5 normally these fit very snug right out-the-box.

Euro 44 = 12 (true) - These fit perfect without an insole, just the standard insert supplied. If I replace the supplied insert with a full insert, then they fit the same. However, if I add one on top it is too tight to play for my taste.

Euro 45 = 13 (true) - These were big and roomy. I replaced the insert and they were still too big. I placed the insert on top of the supplied insert and walla, the perfect fit.

I found that since these shoes are so flexible and the sole lacking proper support, I needed both the supplied insert and an additional insert to get the kind of cushioning required for footbag.

Ultimately I went with the 13's and double inserts and I LOVE them! I am sure others prefer other types of inserts that are probably better than the Dr. Scholls I use.

Hope that helps.

I also added a small rail. I am no spring chicken and my ankle crank is not as flexible as it use to be.

I played in these with the eyelet cut and the toe box is a little more relaxed and wider. I haven't played with the rail yet, I'll have to post if they make a difference.

I've been getting quite a few emails that above sizes are too snug. People are now emailing me that they feel extra material towards the toes. With initial fitting, the shoes may seem to fit but while playing and being on the balls of your feet, your feet may swell from gravity and added circulation, toes will seem more cramped which may cause more tension on the mesh areas of the shoes. This problem becomes more pronounced when one decides to try and add an insole.

I realized that the brown insole I posted earlier on this thread was eliminated to account for individual preference. This left the original sizes from the manufacturers to feel a bit roomier but this is to allow people to use their own insoles. Because of the new info, I'm going to go back to the original sizes listed by the manufacturers. The sizes should feel more comfortable and allow players the room to insert their own insole. You can ask Damon Matthews re: comfortable fit since he went with the manufacturer's suggested size ranges. Carol Wedemeyer and several other players also prefer the manufacturer's suggested size ranges. Again, I had to address this due to numerous emails I got re: shoe feeling too tight.

Below is the original size range conversion chart by the Manufacturers recommended for use with your own insole for best fit (majority of people with half sizes preferred to size down):

MANUFACTURER'S ORIGINAL SIZE CONVERSION CHART
Men's US 12 = Euro 46
Men's US 11 = Euro 45
Men's US 10 = Euro 44
Men's US 9 = Euro 43
Men's US 8 = Euro 42
Men's US 7 = Euro 41
Men's US 6 = Euro 40
Men's US 5 = Euro 39
Men's US 4 = Euro 38
Men's US 3 = Euro 37
Men's US 2 = Euro 36
Men's US 1 = Euro 35
