I'm going to be making my first purchase of fabric from Fields, and I really would love to get a feel for what the thinnest / most durable / coolest colours are.
If a couple experienced stitchers could weigh in on what colours are the best investment it would really mean a lot.
Thanks!
Best ultrasuede light colours?

reading the old thread on fabrics you will find that nearly everyone says flash red is thick, but the flash red I have is very supple, maybe middle weight at most
the fabrics I have personal experience with that I like tend of break down into these groups
*personal favorite
thicker and sometimes soft(er)
county cream*
green grape*
cameo
orange sherbert
stone gray
rose quartz
strong and a little stiff feeling but usually not as thick
petit pois*
atlantis*
montauk
splash blue
green glass
supple middleweights
punch*
flash red
imperial blue
midnight navy
larkspur
cobalt
colonial red
sangria
very thin
princess purple
Field's had some 'bright violet' a little while ago... I picked up a sample but by the time I went to order some it was gone. Seemed like it was similar to atlantis.

go with the colours matt cross said and add some green grape and saffron and you have the best colours when it comes to performance!
a nice looking colour is burnt orange, but it`s a bit stiff!
and if you have the chance, get your hands on some active green and marmalade! but good luck searchng for those!
