Help

Post by bagpro67 » 02 Jul 2013 21:14

Ok so I am new to the sport (a couple weeks) and right now I have the sandmaster footbag from world footbags. So far it has been a great bag, but on quick dexes I find myself hitting the bag quite often. Does anyone have any suggestions for a new bag? My budget is 15 bucks, minus shipping.

I think at that budget, Nick Polini might be able to help

The problem is not the footbag. But I recommend practicing with a 14 or 32 panel (pellet/rock/tungsten fill) instead of a sandbag, because that way you learn to stall better. Maybe some American stitcher can make you a bag with 15 bucks.

I can make you a 14 panel bag for $15 shipped if you like. It will definitely be easier to play with than a sandmaster (it will be smaller, heavier, and sit better). People have mixed opinions about 32 panel vs 14 panel bags, but personally I think they are good bags (great considering the value) for beginners. I think you may be hard pressed to find a 32 panel for under $20 shipped.

(now that my personal plug is over, I would recommend going to the "bags you've made" thread and checking out some of the stitchers there. Also check out websites like Freedom Footbags, Dragonfly Footbags, Fourkast) Just know that a lot of the cheaper bags are made with less pliable materials and may not last as long or play as well as those handmade by well known stitchers.

get a 14 panel from ivan. 14's are really nearly as good as 32's if designed and filled well, and ivan knows wasssup :)
