Hey, London, I couldn't believe I didn't recognize you at first =P.

so I'm finally back from all of my travels and strarting to get situated. Worlds was a blast, I had a great time. I met so many people and got to know the ones I've already met better. there's too much stuff to list, but thank you everybody.

When i got home from worlds I had a whirlwind four days of unpacking working and repacking to go to burning man(if you don't know what it is just google it). Burningman was an amazing event, I had an amazing time, you really just can't understand it until you go.

well i guess that's it for now, I have stuff to do. I haven't played footbag since worlds but hopefully i will this weekend. pictures of worlds soon, pictures of burningman later.

not sure if those pics should go into the hall of fame or hall of shame
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.

Whoa, Danny, I tried calling/texting you to get you to start kicking again a month or two ago. I've been playing again recently; you should too. I tried sending you an email too, but apparently it was way out of date.

Like Dan said, we'll be at HempFest tomorrow. We kick every Thursday and Sunday.

Rising from the ashes the RCS Blog is reborn (*smoke).
We have been really active and we have some great up and coming players and I thought it was time to catalog our progress.
Our current regular players consist of Dan Reed, Scott Behmer, Reilley Adamson, Trevor Kokenge, and myself. We have also been getting guest appearances from Galen Gopal, Alex Zerbe, and other players from around the area.
First off, Dan Reed has officially gone guiltless and is working on a variety of moves, barflys, blenders, pdx whirls, spins, and stepping, by far his most difficult concept. Recent moves of interest include, mobius, spender, tomahawk, which he is trying in combos. He's definitely starting to put some more sixes under his belt.
Lets include a quick note about Scott who is the crazy glue of our group, emphasis on crazy. He always keeps our sessions interesting. He's working on swirl, spinning, and mainly battling Dan on everything. He also is doing a great job pushing our new comers on string length and consecutives.
Next up is Trevor who has been a surprisingly talented and natural player. He has great ankle crank and his clipper game is definitely his strength. He has been working on whirls, open moves like smear, drifter, stepping and his toe game in general since it's his weakest area. Once he learns to keep his balance he should make a big jump in his string length and combos. Moves of note for him lately are flip smear, swirl, pdx whirl, blur, and he is really close to phoenix.
Lastly is Reilly who is currently our strongest up and comer. He's working on his base game while also incorporating lots of new big moves. He has a ways to go before he goes guiltless, but when he does he will have a ton of moves ready to incorporate and good base for string length. His current contact record is at 35. He has many strengths although osis is not one of them. This will be his biggest challenge. Moves he is hitting regularly with greater ease, torque bs, pdx torque, pdx drifter bs, atomics like atom smasher (I'm really pushing him to have atomic as a main staple of his game, one I am sorely lacking), nuclears like matador, dlo from both clip/toe, smears (almost ready for open legover>smear rpt), spins and ducks. Moves of note are fog, blurry drifter, atomic drifter, sumo, bs symp blur, and he's really close to open dlo.
I'm hoping to post little clips of people's progress as time goes on.
I guess I should mention something about myself, but no one really cares. I'm pushing my fearless, duh, current record at 11. I spend most of my time honing form and trying to make my shred more interesting.
We have been making up games lately in the club and they have been really fun. We usually end the day on down battles, or osis battles, or what ever the move, most consecutives wins. It's based on each round has a winner, whoever did the most consecutives for the round. Also a winner for who does the most over all, this lasts for about 10 rounds. We also do the same for string length battles.
Another concept we have institutionalized is the Snow Cone Challenge. At this years US Open Dan and Reilley challenged each other to hit something, who ever hit it first the other person bought them a snow cone. We continue this tradition coming up with challenges and betting snow cones that aren't available, but the name stuck, snow cone challenges. The first challenge was fog for Reilley and gyro dlo for Dan, Dan won the first challenge, which Reilley still claims was an unfair competition. Reilley has since won several challenges. We'll keep you updated on future challenges and winners.
Were excited for summer and next year is RCS's 15th year anniversary. We are planning on doing an anniversary jam.
Lastly to mention I have been playing for over 10 years. I have been taking film of that last 10 years (somewhere close to 50 tapes) and not been able to put out videos. I have been working hard to make this happen and am inching closer all the time. I have some very exciting footage coming up soon, all from 2002 on, including lots of Ricky.
RCS out, peace.

1. Thanks for all the updates on RCS. I think it's awesome you guys have a regular scene, with people pushing their games. Looking forward to more updates in the future.

2. Props on playing for over 10 years! That's a great milestone, especially since you're playing at such a high level still.

Nice. How many combos of 10 or more fearless have you done? I was recently working on the same, and found it to be a good (but sometimes frustrating) challenge.

Keep up the good work! Hopefully I can make it to the RCS anniversary tournament. If not, hope to see you at USO or Vegas Jam.

Super frustrated with my game right now. Retooling is difficult. In spite of that hit blurry whirl>food processor rpt for the first time today. Also tomahawk b2b for the first time in years. I don't normally try that combo but I have been working on pdx whirl and my left knee has been feeling strong lately.
Reilley worked on osis and opens today.
Ken,
Just the two combos, 10 and 11 fearless so far. I hurt my foot on a trip to Portland (footage coming out soon) so I took a little hiatus on pushing my fearless and I just started attempts again this last weekend.

Yo Justin it was good to kick with you and Reilley last week, I wish I could've stayed around Seattle longer.

So excited that Seattle is so close to Portland and both cities have really great clubs right now. We shall shred lots more in the near future. I'm going to hit 10 years in a couple months by the way.

Can't wait to see the footage you've been working on.

Tease!
I remember you saying this a couple years ago too :(

Hackrifice used to always end with things like osis competition and weird things too. Fun times. We'd always end up doing something weird like tricks out of bounces off the footbag mats. I think Andrew Grant managed a stepping set and did, like, blurry drifter, or something.. at least pdx torque.

It's fun to see footage. I can't wait for more. Your archive video posts were always really great. Also, props on the fearless and decade of hack.
