Sad news, I am not sure I am going to make it Sunday. I just found out tomorrow's plan for Youth Group is going to a movie as early in the day as possible. It all depends on if an appropriate movie is playing and the kids' parent's say it is ok. I won't know until tomorrow.

Argh.

great kick today!! a circle of four, with BOOMING music, outside in perfect weather. the session lasted a lot longer than they usually do.

Mike hit the most impressive combo i saw from anyone all day: In ATW>Out ATW>Toe Barrage.... BSOS. Jeff looks more confident with both clippers, should concentrate on doing lots of them back and forth. I hit Spinning Blender BSOS, Blurry Torque BSOS and a good bothsided string:
infinity>symp whirl>(repeat)>infinity> symp whirling swirl>(repeat). Paul had some good stuff too, and was the one who had a good turn the most often when he got the bag.

edit: i meant DATW in mike's combo

I'm glad you noticed, Chris! That's what i have been focusing on lately. Clipper clipper clipper clipper.

It was great to have a big session in Rochester again. I only wish i could have stayed for longer. There's always next time....which may be as soon as 2 weeks. We'll see.

Thanks Chris, but it was out to in double around the world > terrage BSOS. Just wanted to clarify. I agree it was a great session. Everyone did really well and we played for a good long time. I felt completely spent when we finished and that to me is giving it your all.

I am not sure when I will be able to make another Sunday session, but if you guys keep posting the schedule here I will do my best to make it.

Peace.

I was shocked when I came across this image on the BBC news website. Burmese state television has been airing these messages to the public since the popular uprisings began recently against the totalitarian government. They now claim that the monks leading the protests are being manipulated by western entities such as the BBC and the Rochester Footbag Association. Although we certainly are in favor of pro-democracy movements, I think their attempts to marginalize the monks by aligning them with hacky hippies (that's us!) is completely disgusting.

(yes that did appear on state-run television in Burma. not sure why it's in English, but its a multilingual country so I'm sure similar messages were broadcast in many languages.)

I would love to see more assassins on the air, and maybe some more ripped warriors too.

mike, nice double dex combo! I've been working on my terrages, maybe I can hit it soon.

played with some hackers here in fredonia, so a lot of the session was spent focusing on passing, but I did hit blurriest > blurriest on both sides. that was cool. in general, my game isn't so great, but I also hit smog bsos on the first try, so I was happy about that. I wish there were more stylers here than just me and jeff.

Matt,

You keep playing like that and you are sure to attract more stylers. Good work on the blurriests and the smogs.

Peace.

A few things I would like to suggest for our sessions are...

1. Signs: A tent sign that shows our group name, website, and other contact information.
For example: http://www.centurygraphics.com/store/fi ... ls/t_2.jpg

2. Flyers: We can and should hand out flyers.
For example: http://www.rochesterfootbag.com/News.aspx

3. Non-offensive music: I really liked a lot of what Paul played last week. Instrumental hip-hop is more attractive to a general audience than music with lyrics that may offend.

We could certainly make our shred sessions more attractive to people with just a few minor changes and additions. Personally, I would love it if people came up to us and asked us questions or just stood by and watched for more than a glance.

Please keep this conversation going. We are onto a new venture here that could really put the RFA on the footbag map and increase our awareness in Rochester and the surrounding areas.

Peace.

Last night solo session I hit smear > smudge > quantum legover > atomic legover. It was fun. You should try it.

Peace.

NYFA jam? I dont know yet... unlikely, since time and money are tight nowadays. But I'd love to head down to the big city. I still don't even know about Cornell.

I can't play footbag this sunday. May I request a Saturday shred??????

I might be able to do Saturday but I am not that confident considering it is the day before I leave for my honeymoon. Woo woo.
