Bout to go to bed with my lady and she's brushing her teeth right now, so gott make this quick... Well first of all, we just finished watching some crazy fucked up anime or this giant satanic bunny-cat thing, named "Totoro". Mind fuck, but madd cute.

Schedule has been busy, but I procrastinated on a stupid Population Dynamics paper in order to get some footbag time in...

Highlights:

 Johnny Quest BS Flip wasn't sealed :\ But the trick now feels madd easy. Gonna seal flip soon.
 Ripstein> Stepping Osis
 Run with Assassin & Ripped Warrior midstring.

Good night all.

Woo, alright footblog. Been a while.

What's new with me? Well, I'm taking up a new hobby along with footbag... Stand-Up Comedy... George H, one of the new guys we teach at PSU is a really hilarious stand-up comedian. The other week, Nathan, Ryan, and I went to go see him perform and he knocked our socks off. He's going to start giving me lessons during the comedy club hours. I already wrote a bunch of material. Really stoked to dive into that.

In footbag news, today, my mom sent me these shin splint compression wraps and it fixed my problem. I played today with literally no pain :) and I feel like I'm starting to catch up to my old self prior to this injury :)

Highlights:

 Bubbabeater bs (new on both) This one's for Bob. I love Illusioning dexterities :P
 Swirling Whirl :) NEW!
 Flip Symp Whirling Swirl! NEW ON FLIP! I think it was good but sorta toey
 Pdx Flail! New! For Nick Pasq and John Goode
 Run with midstring Alpine Legbeater, Ripped Warrior, Spinning Ducking Butter
 Downtime Paradon bs! (New on strongside :P)
 lots of eggbeaters. Finally starting to get dialed!
 My happiest accomplishment (for Mark M.) Blur> Eggbeater bs Midstring~!

Footbag doesn't hurt me anymore :)

Those are awesome highlights , props to u . Glad to know the shin wraps help ...do what ever u have to to play pain free :) ...

Swirling whirl is sick ...props .. It's hard for me to hit that whirl clean .
Thanks for mentioning me in one of your accomplishments .
Good luck with stand up comedy ...I have no doubt everyone will laugh at you ....I mean with you ;) ... Remember ...it only takes one minority in the room to ruin a racial joke.

Blur > eggbeater > dimwalk repeat GO!!
And alpine legbeater> blur
And pogo blur > dimwalk repeat
SHRED HARD!

Thanks Mark n John :)

Just had a fun, PAINLESS session with Nathan and my shin wraps. I look like Erik Chan :D Anyway, good session today. Had a really fun time. Nathan hit some absurd shit... Like Twingyro Mirage (Cyclone?) and Johnny Quest. Oh yeah, and I think I'm back in Quantums. They offer more support for me.

Highlights:

 Mobius b2b
 Gyro Whirl BSOS
 Symposium Torque BS!!! Haven't hit flip for a while. I also strung out of my strong side :)
 Swirling DLO! Thanks Mark!
 DLO> Egg bs (Been trying to get this for a while :)

Going to be working on Blenders of all sorts in the future, thanks to a phone call from Mark.

Gotta study Ornithology now :| Fuck birds.

Yo thanks a lot guys :) Glad you all are still reading.

Sucks I haven't had much time to play footbag.. or do anything really :( I got some time tonight.. sorta.. I should have studied... but I played footbag instead. HAW HAW HAW.

Well it all started today when I was hanging out with Nadine. I was in pants and I tried to show her a pdx whirl because, well, I'm lame as hell like that.. I hit it first try in pants. Then I tried flipside. I couldn't fucking hit one for like so many tries... too many tries... So I decided that is what I would school tonight... and school is what I did and, to my surprise, with great success!

Highlights:

 Pdx Whirl x3!!!! Ended the session on this.
 Spinning Ducking Osis> PS Whirl (Started the session on this lol)
 Pdx Whirl> Reverse Whirl BSOS!
 Pdx Whirl> Reverse Swirl rpt!!!
 Pdx Whirl> Symp Whirl BSOS!
 Tomahawk> Ripwalk
 Blurry Whirl bs! First TOTALLY clean ones on flip :)

I have a good feeling that once I get really consistent with Pdx Whirls, my game will improve. Really happy about that session. Well, it's 2:30 am... Time to go to bed and wake up in 3 1/2 hours :\

Just had an "in pants" session with Ian. That sounds so wrong.. I mean I was wearing pants rather than shorts. Both of us hit some good stuff.

Highlights:

 Janiwalker in pants! 3rd one ever... 1st one IN PANTS :D
 lots of good longer runs with some harder tricks. Video should come out sooner or later.

Fun fun fun fun.

Is Janiwalker in pants your first seven add?

And yes you got 2 more adds because your were in pants , unless your pants were the super skinny kind then the trick actually loses adds an it's only a super hard three add

Thanks for posting that Ken. And Mark, I cracked up about your post. Yeah, that's my first 7 add. Not a bad first 7, I guess lol

Had another session last night with a few cool highlights:

A Few Cool Highlights:

 Footed Fury :!: And I also hit one that was THE for the second dex. Both on tape. When Ian edits, I'll post it.
 Footed flip Janiwalker a few times
 Hit about 3 Janiwalkers. Normally I would be stoked, but I got used to hitting it now :) It's starting to get easier on strong side. I finally figured out the trick to higher Furious sets (Score...)
 Pdx Whirl x4! (New record)

Gonna take a break from footbag for a bit because doing so much Furious hurt my legs. I was doing them with a powerful motion in the beginning, then toward the end, I was hitting them with much less effort. Many sets to my hand.

Also, Nadiah, my girlfriend played last night. She got her new Lavers the other day and yesterday was her first day of breaking them in. I don't know how I didn't realize this, but she has insane crank... Clipper crank, dragon crank, and even FLAPPER CRANK. She's the one <3 :P But seriously, she's awesome and she's digging footbag right now. We worked basic alt inside kicks (her record is 5), toe & inside delays, and she even hit her first clippers bs! It's looking good so far. Both the relationship and the footbagging :)

Image

^So cute you wanna puke, huh?

Like i said, taking a bit of a break. Maybe til this upcoming weekend. Plus, I kinda need to, because I took Jon Schneider's advice and I showered with my Lavers on last night. Now they're gonna be drying this whole week :P

Had a pretty good session with Nathan tonight.

Highlights:

 NO MORE FURIOUS FOR A WHILE. Hurt my shins with it again from that last session :(
 Blur> Atomsmasher> Toe Blender (Just one side. I don't trust my flip Atomic yet, since I don't have proper form on it quite yet)
 Revstein> String (first time I strung out of Revstein... Felt so good.) The Revstein was so controlled. I can see it coming to me midstring sooner or later.
 Ripped Warrior BSOS
 Spinning Ducking Clipper> Rev-Up bs
 Ghost> Toe Whirl (Just one side, because the clipper mod I made came off and now I have a huge hole on the clipper of my left shoe :\ Gonna fix that now.)
 Spun out of both Blenders surprisingly easily tonight
 Blender> Spinning Ducking Osis bs

Yeah, my legs hurt, but I'm so convinced it's from doing so many stupid Furious sets, because before I started doing those, I was playing pain free with my compression wraps. Once my legs chill, I'm going to start playing smarter and SERIOUSLY not using any more stupid high impact shit. I think I might include Nuclear in this batch of "stupid high impact shit". Mark Monistere told me something today and it really made me assess my game... "You don't want one trick to end your game"... He's right. I'm not going to have to stop playing footbag just because I try Furious sets too much and break my fucking legs. That's tiger turds. I saw what I want my game to look like tonight... For the first time ever, I know what my game will look like. I just have to listen to my body and not practice tricks that hurt me. Eventually, I may learn and even be good at Furious and Nuke and stuff, but for now... Not worth my game. I have too much fun playing footbag and I'm not trying to play "Chicken" with gravity (That sounds awesome, but it barely makes sense... Still, I'm leaving it because it sounds cool.)

Hey readers, footbag has been real weird to me lately.

I've been taking a lot of breaks recently.. for a week-ish each time. I got sick of my last break, so I played a little before I went home on spring break.

One string was really surprising..

 Some shit> Spinning Ducking Osis> Mobius> some shit> Ripped Warrior> some shit> Gyro Blender> Spinning clipper> some shit

It was the hardest string I've ever hit. It didn't hurt me either, which is cool.

But my point is, it really blows to be injured during a point in my game where I have everything starting to come together for me!

So... I scheduled an appointment with a leg specialist on Monday to find out what the hell is wrong with my leg, once and for all.

On a brighter note, I'm using my Leg Spa again, now that I'm back at my parents' house and it makes my leg feel so much better.

I'll update my blog after I find out what's wrong with me... Keep your fingers crossed for me. I really hope it's nothing bad.

My thoughts exactly!

Nick: Hopefully your legs will be fine. I miss your hilarious reactions to new stuff you hit. "OMG I did it, OMG I did it, OMG I did it".

So, the doctor's appointment has happened ... I have shin splints and he said i should take 4-6 weeks off from footbag while using resistance bands.

So, thankfully (hopefully) I'll be back in business right before PSU Jam. Not bad... Not freaking bad.

Now I just gotta try not to play... Great.
