Had a short session this morning. Warmed up but wasn't able to completely play due to having to keep changing locations in the gym and not much space available :(

hit spinning osis both sides, worked drifters, pixies and a little bit of stepping. Plan on playing more this weekend.

Just got done kicking @ the gymn, 2.5 hours session. Played pretty well I'd say. Some highlights:

whirl < drifter rpt x4
drifter ending in rake instead of clipper, drifter rake?
ducking butterfly bsos
dlo bsos
dyno < far butterfly x2 bsos
spinning clipper bsos
butterfly x13 (definitely need to school butters more)
stepping sameside mirage bsos

New playing schedule feels pretty good.

Life is good. I had a session Monday, Tuesday, and today each about 2 hours long. Each felt like the best session I have had and more fun than the previous. Sticking to a scheduled program has been helping immensely. I warm up for a little while doing long tiltlesss strings and mixing some stuff in, working on control and length. When my legs are warming up I start doing individual tricks that are harder for a little while. After that stage I tie in the tricks I worked on into tiltless strings, which tiltless tricks slowly disappear from.

I have also been warming up and taking breaks between sets by working on juggling two bags on a foot. Never really put work into this before, but I feel the foot juggling has improved in consistency, able to get usually about 5 contacts with decent control, it's pretty cool!

At the Boston Jam I entered intermediate big 3 but failed to hit anything. I really wanted to hit pixie butterfly < dyno < drifter, but dropped. On strong side today I was able to hit it on command a few different times. Took about 10 attempts before I was able to seal it on flipside, but I liiiike.

Drilled DLO, I probably hit more today alone than I have any other sessions combined. It just seemed I was able to spot the bag perfectly and just force myself through the jump over. Also worked on sole stalls a bit during warm up, had never even attempted them on my left foot but managed to get a couple. Pixie both sides shows improvement, like most of the tiltless today, it felt like I slowed the tricks down and had more control during the executions, giving me a chance to think a half second in advance what I might want to hit next, something I've never really experienced before. I love run-on sentences.

Hmmm what else? Ducks and dives are feeling better all the time, been working on ducking/diving legovers, pickups, mirages, and pdx mirages. I want to start trying out barfly and paradon and swirls at some point, but I think it's too early still.

Have a couple bags I stitched on way to Boston, I really need to get around to taking pix and updating my For Sale thread. Plan on kicking tomorrow after a final. Can't wait! :P

Had a 2hr session earlier. Played pretty well, a solid session. New program seems to be helping with warm ups and schooling certain components.

lots of tricks with better form and on command instead of taking a few attempts

-pdx whirl bs
-DLO bs
-pdx drifter bs
-ducking butter bs
-ducking legover/pickup bs

and some longer strings with guiltless and less and less tiltless tricks. Can't wait to kick tomorrow!

Kicked for about 2 hours today, about same yesterday. Worked on illusions for the first time in ever yesterday and continued doing that today. considering I've never really put ANY effort into trying them, I'm feeling better about them than I was! I tossed a couple into some runs and they feel smooth, felt like I could have hit paradon instead of just illusion a few times...

also worked on DLO bs a ton. Hit more ducking butterfly's today than any other session. Pixie set is getting really solid both sides, can hit it semi-consistently both sides mid string. Stepping is good too, though my flipside is slacking a little bit, need to revamp how I do it, been hurting last 2 sessions... :?

uuummm I kicked for a little bit today, about 50 minutes. Felt good to be on my legs. Went on a 9 mile run around the art museum Wednesday and lap swimming for an hour yesterday.

Pixie set is awesome!! I can add pixie into strings confidently now, I liiike. Hit a good amount of DLO's and illusions today, just schooling stuff and random strings. Was really fun. Had some good strings with DLO's, drifters, whirling rakes, felt great!

Going to kick with Bob tomorrow @ ymca, then maybe swim some.

Grades from Spring semester are finally corrected, my chem teacher never input my final exam grades so it registered as a D, dropping my summer financial aid. I went in this morning and had him update the grades, giving me an A-, I'll have to contact financial services Tuesday. Overall a 3.7 for the semester. woooohooo~ I'm having a great day!

Was home for Memorial Day weekend, good times.

Kicked with this kid Nick Polini on the main street in town Friday night for about an hour, I got pretty tired from kicking earlier in the day. Wasn't expecting to play that night. We had a hat out collecting $$, made about $5. Some of his friends were there hanging out with us, I play alot of tiltless and guilt moves, going more for length. I'm happy with how it went.

Then kicked Saturday on Ursinus campus with Rieferman! got to check out his new shred barn, looking awesome, he's done a great job of turning his dream into reality.

Ursinus is BEAAAUUTIFUL, OH MAN, so many cool statues and fountains, and the campus was deserted. That place is perfect to film some footage, going to have to go back there sometime 'n film. The scenery combined with beautiful weather rocked my socks.

We both played pretty well I think, hadn't played with Bob for at least a month or two. Bob gave me some pointers and tips, trying to stay on toes more and use less steps in between tricks. Hit some some cool combos, toe whirl < ripwalk < dyno, toe drifter < pdx drifter, and other stuff I forget 8) Was fun chilling and hanging out, even though those croc shoe things suck balls  they're perfect for water fountains.

Back to the shred practice tomorrow

Having a great day! I've had a nearly 2 hour session Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday so far this week, and feeling great. Between shredding, working @ Help Desk, and doing all the work for my calc II class, I've been running around a bit. But alas! Had the first calc II test this morning and I'm confident that I did excellent on it, it was much easier than I was expecting! Which is either really good or really bad.

Yesterday @ the gym, right before my session, I decided to re-lace my Lavers like normal shoes, criss-cross pattern. I usually play with the funky lace design with the laces up and down a few times, all goofy looking, with a bigger toe pocket and the side punching out a little bit.
Now it feels like I have to relearn alot of tricks, toe tricks fall of easier than before and the wall is a little smaller for clippers. This is good though, it will force me to be more precise with the bag and have better control in the long run. Plus, The shoes are tighter closer to my toes so I feel like I can respond faster/easier.

Past couple days mainly just worked on same stuff, new links with them like whirl < DLO, drifter < DLO, ducking clipper < drifter, etc. Today I worked toe whirls and pixie same clipper alot.
Feels good to be playing. Everyday I go out I just get anxious to kick.

My friend had a pool party @ his house over the weekend for his 21st, only me and a few friends out of like 60 people, most of which HAD bathing suits on, only got in the pool. There was also a random hacky sack circle going on which I just had to join. Towards the end I busted out some small stuff like legovers and ducking clippers. Anything else was out of questions since I'd a few drinks in me, but even what I'd consider smaller stuff was just getting huge reactions

Worked stepping Tuesday and Monday, it's getting better, keep focusing on form and setting straight up as opposed to pulling it.

oh snap! Played for 1.5 hours today, kicked with bob over the weekend. Didn't play so well with Bob, was tired from 10mile run the day prior and up late drinking. Today I had an awesome session though.

Began warm up with forcing myself to hit 20 consecutives of these tricks: legover bs, pickup bs, clipper bs and butter bs. Tomorrow will be other foundation stuff consec, but today it took longer than I was expecting it to! Which means I should keep at it so they just become easier and more consistent.

I've also realized in recent weeks how I play better. Stretch for about 10 minutes, warmup with tiltless stuff and consecutives, then go lift weights for about 30-45 minutes. Then go back to kicking, warmup again with a couple tiltless strings and then work on components I planned on.

Today I schooled DLO out of osis a bunch, worked on spins, torques, stepping and pixie a good deal. Oh and ducking towards the beginning. Felt reat playing, some good improvements and links I've never hit before that were alot smoother than I was expecting. Hit ripwalk b2b for the first time, then a couple times afterwards too.

I had my username changed to reflect the...name I use...

Been swimming for a little more than an hour every weekday now. Over the weekend biked some of the course of the Manayunk Bike Race in Fairmount park, some crazy ass hills!

Played footbag for an hour and half today, hit some cool stuff and mainly worked on stepping set, out of whirls, osis, and other stuff like ducking clippers.

 drifter > torque > dyno > rest of string
 drifter > dyno rpt
 whirl > ducking clipper rpt
 whirl > drifter > dlo bs

Think I'm going to enter a sprint triathlon that takes place August 9 @ Nockamixon state park, near Quakertown.

This is... interesting. I went to school with this chick from elementary through high school  Certainly not jail bait anymore

Kicked today for an hour. Past couple days I had small sessions that were becoming frustrating. Was working on consistency of foundation tricks and it got pretty boring. Also I tried playing after swimming for an hour and a half, not the most energy left .

Today I worked a little bit on everything, string length, drifters are pretty much on point, ducks are pretty consistent, spins are getting better, whirls are consistent. Then worked did some pixie and stepping drills. Next couple sessions, after NYFA Jam, I plan on working particular concepts and links with them, such as DLO, pixies and stepping.

I had fun playing today. Good strings, better than past couple days so I'm satisfied.

Before an event, I find it better to just freestyle instead of drill. It usually takes many sessions (sometimes many weeks/months/years) to really change something about your game so sacrificing a few sessions in order to have your shred flow working properly is worth it.

Also, when I hit frustration point with training, I revert back to freestyling too. The whole reason I drill is to be a better freestyler, so it's fun to just let loose, forget about goals, forget about improving, and just turn up the tunes and shred.

yeah too true man. Always fun to revert to freestyling. Should have done so few sessions before the event, I didn't play as well as lately or as much as I was hoping to.

Back from NYC, had a blast! More fun than anything was hanging out with some cool peeps and meeting new ones. Sold some bags, played some fotbag, passed some pigs, and hung out.

I come back from the trip with a renewed interest in kicking. Played for about an hour today. Switched my laces back to the funky style and feels a lot better. Schooled basics for warm up and then worked on some ideas I had from over the weekend. Toolan gave me a lil bit of advice on swirls so I tried them for a couple minutes and actually made progress, so tried for a few minutes and actually started hitting them. Hit about 15 strong side and only about 5 weakside, need to drill that motion a lot on weakside. Also did some pixie drills. Instead of trying to work a little bit on every aspect, I'm going to begin devoting majority of sessions to aspects. See how that rolls out. Oh I worked on spins too. Flipside is better than I thought it would be in a short time.

kewl stuff
 swirl both sides
 spinning ducking clipper
 ducking osis no-plant both sides

yeah. I'm psyched to play tomorrow. Summer class is overrr

So apparently I was hitting reverse swirls the other day. But now I am hitting both swirls both directions. Not too consistent but I'm happy with the progress after merely a few sessions.

Kicked for about an hour today, was a lot of fun! Practiced pixie sets b2b and runs with ducking clipper to spinning clipper and vice versa, both sides. I want to school ducks/dives/spins, I think they're such a cool concept and they can add a lot of smoothness to the game.

Calc 3 class begins on Monday. Supposedly it's easier than calc 2, which I did well in, so looking forward to differential equations in the Fall :D

My hometown has this 'First Friday' thing first friday of every month, I'm going to be shredding in the middle of it all tomorrow afternoon, busking some and just having fun. Looking forward to it.

p.s. my friend studying in Jamaica took this, she says it runs ya $4.50 in USD

Happy fourth of July!

Kicked downtown in P-ville last night for about two hours. Had a great time, played much better than I was expecting to. Wasn't much pressure, just went out and kicked, had some great string length work and good variety of ducks, spins, and bop stuff. We, my friend Nick who kicks and myself, made about $20 busking, it was for this First Friday thing they have every week. Went pretty well, I thoroughly enjoyed just going out and freestyling.
