Played Friday evening in Rittenhouse Park for about an hour and half. some other kids were chilling break dancing and came over and kicked for a little while. I ended up hitting drifter x 4 into a string, felt cool, and other shizz.

Yesterday I went on a bike ride, initially from Philly to Valley Forge, but my hosue is only about 5 miles further so I rode all the way home, made a sandwich, and rode back. About 60 miles total.

Also played today for about an hour. Didn't really have to warm up much. Randomly started working on spins and ducks/dives in combos and realized I am able to hit stepping set out of ducks/dives, which fucking surprised me. After toying with that on both sides, worked on stepping set out of osis and swirls. Also did some spinning osis to butterfly and drifters, both sides. fun session.

played in Rittenhouse with Tom Stepek, he hasn't played in forever. A few kickers joined us throughout, one of them was from Bethlehem area and apparently went to high school with this kid we might know, David Clavens. I happen to be wearing my NYFA shred symposium shirt, which I believe has a pic of Dave on it, haha small world.

Hit some cool stuff, decent strings. Just letting it flow pretty much.

ummm been longer than I thought since posting in here.

kicked for little over an hour today. Worked on spins and ducks to begin with, then transitioned to pixie and stepping sets. Did bunch of drills like whirl > ripwalk rpt, got further than I was expecting so I'm feeling pretty good. I'm very close to hitting what I think is vortex both sides, landed on toe a couple times. spinning pdx drifter? also worked on torque weakside, and other stuff I forget. Good session. Time to incorporate spind/ducks into tricks, I need to challenge myself more than I have been.

haha yeah that was a great pic.

Kicked with Bob yesterday for about 2 hours, was really fun! He's more consistent on more components it seems, but his level isn't as high as it was the previous time we played, though I'm sure it will return soon. I've this weird feeling on two of my toes, happened earlier in the week. It's like they feel I should crack the joints but it just won't happen. Whenever I apply pressure the base of the toes feel funky. Hope it just goes away on its' own.

The gym here on campus is closed for three weeks, meaning I'll be playing outdoors often and probably swimming more. Can't wait, I've a renewed interest in playing, and analyzing my game.

stitched some bags, maybe post some pics this week. Trying to go to Funtastiks but not sure how I'll get around or anything or where to stay for as cheap as possible. Maybe I'll camp, have to see what's the deal on that. Always have enjoyed roughin' it.

calc 3 is done after this week. Acing it so far. Then two weeks free til Fall semester

yo, i should get another bag soon probably - I like the yellow/blue colors in the last bag above, and really liked the playability of the bag of yours we used on Saturday. Possible to get those traits to coexist in the same bag? (maybe they do already).

If so, bring with you when you come to play with me this weekend and I'll purchase

I was doing some tae kwon do with the instructor last night and doing heli kick combos kicked my opponent with my ankle. it began to swell a little bit. Iced/compressed immediately, nothing serious, but will take a few days before I'm back to normal functionality, i.e. footbag or TKD. Swimming ok.

Yo Drew that sucks about your ankle man. I rolled mine on Sunday and it still hurts to walk on it, good luck in your recovery.

I recommended the top bag for my friend. Would you say the weight is about the same as the black/pink one you sold me?

Yup. Nearly the same specs as that bag.

Ankle's fine now. Went on a long run over the weekend to see how it'd feel. I need new running shoes.

It's currently intercession between summer and fall, Enjoying time without homework to do, for another two weeks. Have realized just how much hw I get done here at work.

Was hoping to play after work, but don't think I will. It's about 94 degrees outside and the rec center's closed for two weeks. Pool is closed for two weeks as well. Going to play tomorrow or tonight. Make some bags this week too.

Ended up going on a run monday night, bad idea at 10pm. Feel like I'm a little sick, mainly just crap in my throat though :x Feeling much better as of this morning. Haven't done anything all week and my AC has been malfunctioning :x

Going to play this weekend for sure. Hopefully the heat wave ends. I think I'm going to Funtastiks, local kicker I know, Nick, plans on going so might camp out and catch a ride with him.

I played for a little less than an hour today. warmed up with tri-force drill for clippers which made me feel really solid the rest of the session. Felt so fun playing, not sure why but was much more consistent than I was expecting. hit some cool new stuff and worked on a little bit of everything to reacquaint myself, haven't played intensely for a few weeks. Today and session last week I've also spent some time schooling illusions. I tended to skip ever really trying them before and regret it. but they're looking better each session.

-pdx torque
-torque flipside -has been sketchy for me for long-time
-blur < smear bsos
-spinning clipper x 3 bs
pixie and stepping solid

I've still been playing alot but haven't felt like posting anything. Pixie set is nearly where I want it, consistency both sides has improved drastically, this I am happy from. Been working on ducks, dives, spins and schooling basic illusions and such.

Rolled my ankle Tuesday, fast recovery from it. Not quite back yet but within a week should be back to norm.

Have a swim meet tomorrow at University of Penn for Temple club team. First meet, should be fun times.

School's going wel, kicking Diff. eq's ass. Going on low-carb / high protein diet

more to come. Once ankle is back I'll get in touch with josh benham and rieferman, see if we can get a session together

Injured myself a month and a half ago and let other things take precedence, including classes and other exercise stuff, namely swimming. I was lacking in that aspect for triathlon training but I'm now much more improved, so I feel like it's time I get back onto the Footbag scene for myself.

Over winter break I'll be working on campus a lot, plan on making some bags for trades and to sell. I'll try to swim 2 days a week and play footbag 4 days a week.

Kicked today for about 45 minutes then lifted some. Played at the end of last week for about an hour and 20 mins. Both times worked on getting back into the groove of things, mainly just tiltless stuff and illusions to warm up. few runs filled with pixie and drifter tricks which felt good.

Plan on having a longer session tomorrow after my finals. Oh boy.

DAAAMN It's been a while again! well at least this time between long gaps of time posting I have been playing consistently, just haven't felt like posting.

2nd week of class began today. re-laced my shoes prior to last session which got me feeling all excited. I used to play funky-laced style but feel it doesn't help at all so I laced them normally. Basically need to re-learn how to catch toe-tricks now, but it's good progress, requires more control as opposed to relying on sides of the catch spot.

played for about 45 minutes earlier today, did a ton of toe stalls (in my new lace style) and did some basic drills working most concepts.

I stitched a couple bags over break and in the middle of one now, I'll post pics when I get a chance. Kicked with Bob 2 weeks ago, feel like I started to play well towards the end. Feels like it takes me forever to warm up, by which time other people are nearly worn out.

I'm gonna do more drills tomorrow. I feel like I hit something new today but can't remember right meow.

dude, i need a session with someone other than no one. please come kick.

also, remember how my lavers have those wings cut off and then are laced normally? I really recommend that style of shoe setup. The wings are a hindrance in my opinion, and after a week or two you won't miss any toe stalls as a result of having them gone. Plus, taller guys like us (with presumably larger feet) can use the extra support of having the shoes laced nice and snug all the way down to the first eyelets.

Just got done kicking for about an hour, warmed up for 20 mins, lifted upperbody for 40 mins, then jumped some rope and played for another 30 mins shredding.

Still taking time to get used to this lacing style, did a bunch of toe stalls, and tiltless strings which felt much better than first session with new laces.

Then worked most concepts, ducking/diving, swirls, spins, some atomsmashers, whirls, blenders, osii.

Towards the end drilled toe and and pixie tricks. Hit illusions more consistent than any other session, illusions>mirage>illusion>legover rpt few times on both sides. Sadly, that's a decent ntoe for me to end the session on.

Took the past week and half off and been doing some intense cardio circuit training.

Had a test in each class this week. Intense.

I'm a big guy, like, tall and getting a little built. I think one of the reasons I haven't been able to step up much of my game is my legs need more muscle. Current training should help on that. I'll find out tomorrow how it's helped so far.

Bummer we didn't get to kick over Thxgiving break. We were literally right across the street from you for a good 3 hours shredding our asses off. Really fun session too. Sucks you couldn't make that one. Hope your session that I set you and Brian up with was cool haha Miss kicking with you. Lemme know when you're home again, I'm always down to kick even if I have to drive back home myself. Later days man.
