Hey I already thanked Ian over pm, but want to thank you again for the best possible start to my first next page :) That bag is really beautiful.

I got to go " home " to Richmond for Thanksgiving. % hr trip , one tank o gas, and one early start thursday morning. I left at 4:30 am but had no sleep that night due to a late solo kicking session. I was very excited that night though, I had just found out that I got an interview with a visual arts / dance studio here in Charlotte. I sent them an email with information and video on freestyle, she loved it. I have a routine demo planned for this weekend at their grand opening, all the youth will be there who are interested in any of the programs. So I will do great! I have happy standards that I think will really agree with me and for those who are there. I would be teaching classes to youth, also to fill the classes I will bring some of my students from the academy, so wish me luck this could be great. A little team of youth with lavers and a freedom bag in hand. !!!!! How cool.

I just got back from kicking tonight. Highlights...hmmm. My left foot is coming alive, instead of attempoting my flip blender based off my strong, I just focused in and did it new. Not trying to copy my other side, but really focusing on just doing it. And it worked, I felt some style sneek in to my flip, some confidence in loosing up my muscles, finding the most natural contraction for that move. Have you seen the top guys? Their legs look like jello at some points, jello in a nice clean crystal compote, controlled to the point of relaxation, style wiggles out of their bodies. Damn Jorden comes to mind, the cornell video shows this wiggle all up in yo face. And dont get me started on Daves Shred, good lord. And FLash! All my secret heros! The cornell video and this newest ed schmidt video is the shit. Ahh, my computer sucks and I couldnt get on famecast today...

Thats a great vdieo from Jorden. I read about your situations Jorden, try to keep a strong mental awareness though. My roomate has gone through a lot of shit, physically, tough tough health problems, but he has been mentally so strong all the way through. And each day he fights he learns so much more. Jorden, you might have too many options with that talent but remember that talent can be used in any area you want. Your mental capacity shows through your amazing coordination skills, and your drive dude, unbelievable. So transfer that into what you want now. The apartment/room deal where youre stuck paying it blows. So be understanding about that stuff, I think the temp agency or some retail work is a good idea - for now. Like Matt said, you're a footbagger so tough it out for a while.

I like to make all my paragraphs the same length.... I have been typing away with enya in the background. Now we are free baby - gladiator soundtrack. Shred gear still on, sweat dried and stinky feet. Ians sweet ass bag brightening my night. Cold fingers. Tosca beneath my makeshift desk, goodnight modified.

So I got the job at Break House Studios, a local visual arts studio. I'll be teaching freestyle!

This past saturday I did a demo and routine alongside all the other instuctors who did their thing. There is African, hip hop, lyric, jazz, tap, break, ...the list goes on, all these cool styles of dance, and now there is freestyle.

Thanks guys. I hope it works out for the best. I do not have any further details on the situation, I have been waiting her out...aas far as calling her to check on whats next. I thought I'd give her time to settle in, it was the grand opening and all so I'm guessing theres a ton to do. I told myself today that Id call by Friday, or email to setup the meeting.

I'm guessing it will entail teaching a few students, in hopes they could incorporate it into their own art form. Hip hop or somthing i could seee for sure, that was the ownersidea - she was a club dancer before all this and shes a pretty badass dancer, real happy and laid back, but strong and passionate and has some backing to whats driving her ideas. Tons of family supprt to start her studio. We'll see.

Hey I was wondering tonight during shred, about tense vs. loose ankle style dezxing. I thought of it while I was practicing barflys, I always air shred and practice with a precise position for the dexing foot, then i thought hmmm... I wonder how many have it loose, like water style ?

For me its different for each move, but I'd saay 98.62222% of the dexes I hit- it hit with a stationary foot position. Paradox whirl is a definite closed dex for me, and barfly would be one of the few where I could see an advantage, maybe a style advantage. Hmmm is it style then? Nah, I think it does add some quarkiness to an old move. Damn I just got Cous Cous in my kerboard!!!...I'd say then any whirl move for me is closed. Mostly for efficiency, cos you can really pull back hard, safely, when you have your heel pulled up, compared topulling your toe up. Idk. you tell me. Cos my whirls are still slack on my flip :) I'll try loose two morrow

Other moves that I firm up the ankle. WEll i just thought about it some more - its not really just the ankle, if you tense up your ankle you are tensing up your whole lower leg. But you could do it jiggly jiggly like penske. Ive seen lon style out some double downs with the old loose canon. I like to tense up lol , thats my personality so I think it shows my form/style - and breathing, damn its hard for me to smoothly breath during freestyle! It kills my string length of course, I have to stope typing and chill out with my roomate...I'll talk more about breathing more when i gotstime. I'm so stiff! Of course now that I have wrote this, I confirmed for myself that a mix of loose leggedness and firm closed dexing muscles would be optimus lime. errr. prime... optimus prime/

Another thought.

Whos personalities match their style? I think they would go hand in hand right?

When I do Whirl moves, my ankle is not loose, but I still point my toes up. The reasons are that it's easier to dex (toes not in the way of the bag) and it looks kind of better. AND that's how Vasek does it

I've always felt like a person's shred style can tell you tons about their personality. Also, it can give away more underlying traits that aren't as easy to notice.

Like Penske, he's all casual and whatever and loose but with this underlying incredible powerhouse potential that bursts out in slashes and whips.

I guess it's sorta hard to describe, but I've always felt like someones footbagging is like.. a painting of all their personality traits.

DJ Krush. " A History "

This was a birthday present for my roomate. Krush is one of our favorite artists. The guy is really incredible and this dvd gives you a look into his thoughts which is pretty rare. I mean you get a sense of what hes about through his music but to hear him actually speak and see the way he presents himself gives you a new perspective on his work.

Just chillin out in my room for a while. ....

I'm definitly going to YEAH 07!!! Hell yea, of course I'm coming. I can;t explain how much I love to go back home to central NY. I love all of my Rochester friends and can't wait to see you guys soon. I really can't think of a better way to bring in the New Year.

Just thinking outloud here. I've been working on my left clipp recently. It turns to stone on a regular. I noticed that the tricks wehre I know exactyl where the set should be - are the tricks that I nbever miss. Which pointed to the fact that maybe some of the tricks I'm missing, I am only giving half of the command. I never give the set somewehre to go, I would set in the general area, or just go for the trick, but if your set is all over the place your trick will be all over the place.

Sometimes style does come from chasing down the bag, but good relaxed form wher your true style can come out, comes out when you have the whole trcik in complete control, including to the inch - where the set needds to go.

Any thoughts on that?

Been looking at Central NY weather for my YEAH travels - yikes....

Wow - what a time at YEAH! IT was really fun and was a highlight to my whole week vacation.

I flew into Syracuse Thursday and stayed with my loving sister and her family. I ate and ate, and it was so much different than here on my own. They would ask me what I wanted all the time, and I had no answer...no one ever asks me that here. Anyways, I had a great time with my sister.

My brother in law drove me to Rochester Sunday morning. Hes awesome too. I met CAssy and Andrew right off the bat at Pauls house. WE all kicked that evening at Pauls place -which was a sweet shred spto and party local. We hit up Mcgreggors for some food that night.

Monday we headed over to the hotel and kicked from like 12 - 6ish, with some food hunted down by Chris and Will. Some were there later but I snuck out and met up with an old friend. WE all met up at the house that night for a home cooked meal from Paul and his friend. Paul did an awesome job cooking and keeping everything smooth for the whole crew. So yeah NEw years was sweet, prob the best Ive ever had. I kicked a shuttle cock with Tom for over an hour. That was fun. We all watched the ball drop and chilled upstairs and downstairs. Some planet of the apes was being watched over the entire day, I think a + e had a marathon.

SHRED was great to watch all weekend. There was a cool rotation happening at the house, where there was only enough room for about a 4 man circle, so everyone had rest and time to check out the circle, rotate in when there was a spot. There was n overhead view and some sideline couch views with musac and good lighting. Beer.

Thanks Paul and Chris!

It was fun hanging out with everyone. Hopefully I can be back soon.

Hi guys.

Things are good down here, picked up a side job at Old Navy because money is tight with the winter season. Not too many besides our core kids come out in the cold.

I'm planning on going to Rochester in April.

I hit my first four dex last week. Pixie tapping dlo. My dream move is Pixie tapping mofly.

Paul hit mobius again and dragon swirling symple blender, it looks soo good. I guess it wouldnt be called dragon swirling - is that snapping? I'll go look it up.

Anyways. The freestyle class at Breakhouse has dwindled, its hard to keep it going with work and my schedule on the weekend. Also we werent matching up on our intentions for the program, they were trying to sell it as something its not. I dont need a studio for help, I want to do it on my own and do it the way I think things should be done.

I have been kicking with Cross bag #111, it has been named gumball. Great bag for sure, we've had good times with it so far. ITs ppink and white and red!

gbye from charlotte

me too Andrew.

Alright, my kicking has come to a halt for the last month and a half, due to a kicking form my new job at Old Navy. The winter was tight with money, if I haven;t come out and actually said that I am in a partnership, then I will do so now...My friend and I met in Tx in the same tennis management program.

Partially long story made shorter...

We both graduated in '06, with a USPTA Certification and Certificate of Proficiency in Professional Tennis MAngt..

I worked at some bunk ass country club job when I got out....made money, made old women laugh and made sure thier kids had fun playing games.

My best friend from school calls me one day, " I need you to come help me out...I have more work then I can handle...".

We now run Saints Tennis Academy in Charlotte NC...please check out the website and see what we do. Saintstennisacademy.com

my main goal tonight though, was to talk about kicking...With the new Old Navy job and keeping this business together I havent had much energy left for f.o..o...t....b.....a......g - g......a.....b....t...o..o.f rof tfel ...

I mostly go for longer, strings, with some unique combos. Usually spontanaeous links and maybe a thought out two trick at the beginning. Or sometimes I try to do theme runs, or symple runs, funny runs, over the years I've always lookked for my way to play, and its hard because you see these videos and read about the trciks being hit, and you automatically either want to hit them bc you think its cool or you want to hit them so you can be on top of or on the level of that guy...Ive realized that I don;t want to do wither of those anymore. Actually I can't do one of them so that took care of half the problem. I had to work my way into the other solution.

I still get nervous...how shitty. I get nervous playing a game I love. CErtain circumstances get me all hyped up and worried, and thats been my personality my whole life so it affects my game. I have been known to be a guy on the move, fast, agile, a ghost, nobody, jumpy, tight, a worryer and a master anticipator. Nothing makes a better anticipator than fear.....anyways. I hate being nervous.

If I anticipate fear then I will only get fear.

Anticipate nervousness, I be nervous.

I wasn't able to make it home for Easter this year, I have made the trip for a long time. I miss my family down here, and I miss my old friends up in Syracuse and Rochester. I can;t make it to Rochester this year either...for GRASS. Sucks. Hopefully next year.

Happy Easter Modified

Hey Ryan.

That sucks you wont be able to make it to GRASS this year. Where are you living right now? I plan to drive all around this summer and play lots and lots of footbag, and it would be really great to play with you at least once.

Peace
