I took physics 2 last semester which dealt with electrodynamics. I have a new appreciation for the photo which is a couple posts up

kinda strange you posted in here, Nick. I just had a session earlier today for the first time in I don't know how long.

I had to fix my sister's desktop PC the other night; I'd told her I'd do it for a while. I popped my head out the door a few times but by the time I was done, you guys had left  Didn't get a chance to kick with Brian. I want get a few more practices in and rub the rust off before playing with anyone

I'll be back around Xmas and a few days after that too. I will also try to come out some weekends if you're around, but I plan on getting back into regular sessions for myself

Have a swim meet Saturday, swimming butterfly, back, and free.

Plan on having another footbag session tomorrow afternoon at the rec center, hopefully it won't be raining.

Finals coming up. Chaos ensues

anyway

Right on man, looking forward to it. Glad you're going to start having regular sessions again. I feel ya on the rust. I've got so much stuff that I neglect in my game because I have trouble thinking about it while I'm in the zone. Sucks. Good luck on finals.

Edit: Tubular pic, hope you took this.

Word up Kevin! I've seen your blog, you've been absolutely killing it since I last saw ya. Hopefully I'll have an excuse to get up to Boston sometime soon

Kicked for an hour earlier at the rec center. It was fun. Am almost able to hit everything I could before, stepping and spinning stuff haven't really lessened, surprisingly. Left spins feel weird, as did my shoes at first but they grew on me quickly. Going to kick again on Monday at the latest

Drew! Dude next time you come home, please hit me up. It's been far too long now. Even if I'm at college, I will drive home to kick with you, even for like an hour. We've got a hell of a scene around these parts nowadays too. But yeah dude, seriously, we need to kick. You were and still are one of my biggest influences for putting all of this time into the sport. I'd love to shred with you again now that I don't completely suck anymore :P

But check this out... I've been thinking about my first real life exposure to footbag. It was during a Dogwood Festival when I was in like 5th grade. My friends and I were hacking next to the main stage. Three slightly older kids came up to us and asked if they could hack with us. Of course we said yes. The one kid had these funny-looking battered Adidas shoes on and he was REALLY GOOD (by really good, I mean he was doing clippers, around the worlds and legovers, which was amazing for me to see since all I could do was basic stalls and I thought I was hacky sacking). That series of about 5 minutes when I saw that kid doing those crazy, gravity defying tricks... I was so inspired. They then left to go to their friend's house. But that left a mark on me. Point is, the more I think about those few minutes when that kid was playing footbag in front of me... I'm fairly certain it was you. Just thought I'd share that with you since you're pretty much the reason why I daydream/dream about little ultrasuede bags filled with lead shot.

Hope to see you soon dude.

awwwwww! You're making me blush, Nick!

I'm going to have to agree and say it was you, and I probably know the other kids that were there. I used to go to Reeve's Park there and kick when the weather was nice, in the big bandstage or randomly in the park wherever I could.

I'm actually at my parent's place right now, but school is sucking hardcore, taking 7 engineering courses is a bad idea :/ so I'm swaaaamped with work. Also, I've been lifting more recently, targeting my legs and core. I'm a pretty big guy and I know with stronger legs I can pull off more of the tricks I want to. I've been consistently kicking weekly, at least.

I will be back in about two weeks, we will kick! Also, I want to go to the event you hold. March 3rd-11th I will be going to Europe for spring break, Prague of all places! going to take my lavers in case I see some shred going down! let me know what other dates you have in mind and I will try to make it out!

btw, I've been peeking into your blog. ridiculous improvements, going to have to see it in person if it is for real.

Dude, I'm so happy to hear that you're still kicking :D

And believe me, college student to college student... I know what you mean when you're swamped with work. I've been doing a "crank it out" method. I sit down for loooonggg periods of time and just assassinate homework, then I have a few days cleared up to shred.

Yeah, I was pretty sure that was you, oh so many years ago. Thanks again for being my first inspiration.

As for two weeks from now... I'm so down to shred with you. And thanks for the props. I assure you, I haven't been lying to my blog lol Great to hear you've been weight training, too.

So sick you're going to Prague! Hope you run into some of the greats down there. I'll let you know what dates we choose for the jam, when we figure it out.

I gotta get back to my homework-crank-out session now. I'll cya around man.

PS. BOB AND BRIAN MISS YOU TOO!

Awesome to kick with you the other day for the first time in too long. Your skill level is still surprising and your style is still awesome and I know you're going to push yourself to get even better. Hope to shred again soon. Drop me a line next time you're back in Phoenixville. Keep at it man.

w0wzers about 2 months overdue!

I've been kicking as warm up for lifting the past few weeks and it's been incredibly fun! Each time I take a hiatus for a little while, when I get back into I don't seem to have regressed too much, which also makes it fun. Today I worked sets pixie and stepping out of tricks, and spent some time on dynos and blenders.

Looking for an engineering internship over the summer. Want to apply for a Navy position nearby, but my sister pointed out I would be helping cause war >_< I'm in a predicament in that boat. Think I'll apply and see if I even get a response.

PA Jamboree Nick P is holding in a couple weeks. Psyched for that. Tough Mudder and a robotics competition this upcoming weekend.

Good times for sure.

note: This is not I.

I played some footbag this weekend. It was fun. I didn't really play as much as I was planning, I'm out of practice and I forgot much of my gear at home

Nick Polini was a great host and event coordinator. He managed to get a great group of people together for some fun times I'll never be able to forget!

I returned from the event with that fire yearning to play often, again. I've been at a plateau for a while, so I'm going to work on what I have been needing to work on for the longest time, instead of resorting to kicking and just casual shred. After classes are over I'm going to stitch some bags too. I'll try to keep this updated.

I wish I had someone here in the city to kick with. Tom Stepek hit me up on fb not too long ago. I'll have to drag him out of the shed to shred.

Dude, I'm so glad you came out to kick this weekend. Thanks for partaking in my first self-hosted footbag jam. Schneider and I were talking about visiting you in Philly this summer and kicking a bag around. I'm so happy this jam is helping motivate you to push your self further with footbag. I can't wait to see your improvements. Also, you left your apple, almonds, and some oats at my place. I can give them to you next time you come home or just drop them off at your mom's place. Let me know.

And thanks for figuring out how to ghetto rig our toilet... Magic Poop Hands is da mastah! :P

Keep it up Drew. We'll be in touch to shred again soon hopefully, once school lets out.

I kicked for about 30 minutes yesterday I drilled basic tricks until I hit the amount in 1 shot:

legover x25, bs
mirage x 25 bs
pickup x 25 bs (I needed to work these badly)
clipper x 25 bs (tri-force drill)
bunch of toe stalls and clipper stuff

today I drilled for about an hour.
same stuff as yesterday, went until I could hit entire string:
legover x25 bs
pickup x 25 bs
mirage x 25 bs
clipper tri force drillage
illusion x 25 bs (probably more illusions than I've ever hit... These were necessary and ugly as hell to begin with)

going to begin working string length for tiltless and incorporate tricks as I continue to drill them

this is what it's like here where I work

Doug! Yeah bud it was a blast! Can't wait for next event, had so much fun!

Kicked today for about 45 mins. This week and last week I've been practicing tiltless toe tricks, specifically pixie set and illusions today and hitting pixie set out of different tricks. It's coming along nicely.

I got a call today in class, I set up an intern interview on wednesday with an engineering company! It's near my parent's house so I may be around there more often in the summer!

YO, PHRUCK YEAH! That's bitchin news! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you man. We might have anew member to the crew soon. Guy I found in Clifton Heights. Contacted him to see if he still played, he said he'd be interested in playing with us sometime. Alsoooo..... If you read Bob's blog, he's trying to set up regular sessions at Black Rock stake park. This might do footbag a world of good. I mean right next to a skate park?! Holy shit, there's gonna be a lot of interests peaked when we kick there. I have a feeling all the kids that suck at skating are going to leave the park and start shredding :P Keep me updated on that internship dude. It'd be nice to kick and chill with you regularly/semi-regularly. Knock 'em down at that interview!

sweet! Good luck with the interview!

If you're home a lot this summer, weeknight barn shred would be great. We generally mix pushups/situps/arms with the sessions if you want to participate in that too. And sunday sessions at black rock!

Some footbag is going to happen alot this summer!!

ran broad st race today, cut 10 minutes off my time from last year, was able to stick consistently to my 9min/mile, for 10 miles.

It's such a great cause and great time, helping and cheering on other runners. Feeling pretty good today. one final completed, 5 to go.

sunday shred at the upper providence skate park was kick ass! John Schneider and Drew Martin both made surprise appearances, which added to the crew! It was lots of fun. Look forward to them this summer

I hate this week of finals.

I got the internship.

I start next monday. Going to be around Phoenixville much of the summer, not yet quite sure how I feel about living with my mom and sisters over the summer. Means more footbag at least, going to have to find a gym membership somewhere around there too.

Stitching will begin later this week, along with training for Philly marathon and local triathlons
