Birthday shred :D
Had a few people around for my birthday, played some footbag and lots of cards. Fun night for sure. misere / open misere in 500 should be banned though

new moves
baroque
ducking whirl
diving whirl
whirling swirl
pincher set op flux
quantum same osis

can't remember if I hit pdx torque, but my back definitely felt all the attempts :P
also tried a few pincher inventions, but didn't hit any.

Yesterday we were filming a segment for a TV show called Totally Wild, it will be aired sometime in March 2008. Really happy with the turnout, everyone represented well 8)

also hit a few new things:
ps mirage bsos
inside set flail to inside

also hit whirling swirl again and some more symple swirls.

thx Asmus :)

short session in my corridor today.
just drilled some left foot stuff, trying to improve the set from left toe in particular.
hit 2 new moves: cloud set op double pickup and pincher set op double pickup.
Cloud was much harder, but that might be because I practice pincher more these days.

thanks :D

I've been drilling very hard recently, mainly been working on my weakest moves and components.

hit 6 contacts of whirl>drifter>rpt I was totally stoked to hit this :D
5 ss whirl>DLO > rpt
8 whirls (I know this sounds crap, but regular whirls (as in not rev whirl) is tough for me)
126 consec same inside stalls :D
toe op whirl>whirl bsos

also worked on inside and clipper form, tried to improve my osis form too. Ducking and diving from clipper has also been worked on.

biggest thing though has been trying to fix my flipside datw out-in, it's been really hard to change the form on this move because I've been doing it wrong for so long. It's slowly getting better and also as a result I'm starting to get a better flipside fairy set.

Yesterday was a very eventful day, 2 international footbaggers in Melbourne at the same time. Had a shred with Dan Ednie and Ben Cooke in the city, had a good time despite not playing my best. Ben is a very nice guy, it was great to have a kick with him. I was impressed by just how good his game is considering he hasn't been playing much recently. Earlier in the day I thought about taking a video camera with me to the kick but I wasn't in the mood to look after it. Luckily Ben brought his camera along and got some footage. Ben is very interested in cinematography, he is currently doing a steadycam course in Melbourne. As a result the footage should look great! So hopefully I can capture a few runs and post them here.

So later on we all went to see Felix Zenger perform with the Iiro Rantala New Trio. Felix was a total legend for putting us on the door list, thanks for that!
It was such a good show, all the musicians were fantastically talented. They worked extremely well as a group creating a unique sound.

The big highlight of the night was the beatboxing solo by Felix, totally mindblowing! best beatboxing I have ever witnessed, so much better seeing it live. His scratches are sick, like really 8O

It was great to meet Felix, he seems like a very friendly and chill guy. We were all a bit disappointed to find out he quit footbag after a back injury. And with all that beatboxing practice he doesn't really have the time to shred it up.

All in all totally fantastic weekend!!!

That's really sad to hear; Felix was one of my all time favorites.

Yeh the show was amazing! Very glad i got to go to it and hangout. I went in the band van to the gig and hung out backstage before the show 8) The act is really entertaining and has gotten better since the early Youtube videos that are about, much better. Felix's solo was off the hook as mentioned.

Hope you dont mind some extra photos Janis? Seems like the place to put them...

I requested a beatbox demo for the digital camera but he declined :( Look out for an album in the future though!

Extra photos are cool. Felix said he preferred the venue in Melbourne because it was much smaller than Sydney. There might have been 200ish people at the Melbourne gig, how many people were at Sydney? I totally agree about the youtube comment, the youtube vids really don't do the show justice, so if you can go and see it go out and see it.

Oh and Liro is like the most hilarious guy ever, many times he got the whole crowd laughing.

Heheh yeh he was pretty good on the mic haha. How funny are the track names? 'Shit Catapult'. He played a song with a title so dirty that he couldnt even say it, so he called it 'Paramatta Special'.

There was prob about 200 at the Sydney gig, but in an auditorium made for like several hundred more so it was kinda empty in a way. Because Sydney had 2 shows, the Friday night show was really full (like close to 1000 ppl), and the Sat show was empty.
