I sent that footbag I stitched to Kurt Zubry and he finally received it. He texted me and said he likes it a lot and had a great first shred session with it. Really cool to hear.
In other news: Zach Hoffa has been living on my bean bag for the last few weeks. He reads me my homework list and makes me hot dogs. That is all.

Just got back from FuNtaStIkS and had a blast! I met so many cool people and awesomely sick shredders. I took 1st place in intermediate circles and 1st place in intermediate routines. A lot of people came up to me and told me that I'm an "Advanced Intermediate", which felt so sick to hear. Videos will be up shortly. So stoked! Had a great bunch of friends staying at the camper with me. You guys are fucking awesome. Hit some new tricks:
Anchor!!!!
Anchor> reverse swirl!!!!
Sole> opp Sole x 6
I footed xbd sole> reverse ripstein> xbd sole stall
Dragon walkover (which made Jon cringe when he watched it, which was awesome since Jon is the most flexible shredder I know)
Dragon ducking toe
dragonflier> xbd sole
clipper> spinning opp sole> reverse swirl (thanks to Ian Brill)
new trick I invented!!! The Relinquished Sole
My routine blew me away when I watched it. I had no idea where any of it came from. I guess I was just so stoked up for the whole thing.
Jon Schneider and Matt Cross inducted me into the brotherhood of weird trick shredders, which felt really cool, since both of them inspire me so much.
Now I'm seeing the Pixies tonight!!! This week is gonna rule... aside from homework and studies.

Whoa man, that was tight! Jon, Matt and I brought your name up at FuNtAsTiKs this weekend when we were all doing weird stuff in a circle together. We should organize a shred session of all of us unusual surface footbag players, since we're all within a decent distance of one another. It would be so sick. We'd all vibe off eachother's shred so nicely. I'd love to shred with you sometime. Let me know dude.
Oh and what did you mean by "He might be in the "brotherhood""?

Niiick! Good shredding and chillin' with you again man. Thanks for letting me stay at the camper with you guys. Props on taking intermediate circle and routines -- your style is awesome and you've retained your consistency while crafting that unique style which is very impressive. Hope to shred with you again soon!

Yeah man, really glad we got to chill and kick this weekend. Thanks for letting me follow you to the shred spot every day haha. We definitely have to organize a jam dude. No diggity doubt. Let me know when you hit your first blurry whirl! Probably in a few days. Keep shredding and good luck at the new house!

Short session with Zach:
My highlights:
The pixie pants have been unzipped... I hit my first smear... miraculously right after I saw the Pixies last night.. hmmmm
another anchor> reverse swirl
xbd sole stall> rake bsos
xbd sole stall> swirl (normally I can hit xbd sole> rev. swirl, but I finally hit a regular swirl out of it)
Zach's highlights:
FLIPSIDE RIPPED WARRIOR > everything I hit

Thanks man! Keep me updated on your new shit too!
Today, Zach and I have started a daily shred session. We just had an hour and thirty-five minute shred session next to this creek with carp feeding all up in it. SOOO good... Zach was completely guiltless. Read his blog, it's gonna be a doozy.
THE OBJECTIVE:
Zach's: to go completely guiltless and pass the bag every time he bails to a >guiltless move.
Mine: Take a break from my weird shit, strongside reverse swirls, and practice my stepping, pixies, and all that good stuff.
I had a good session in the beginning:
Some decent links:
ducking clipper> ducking clipper x 8
whirl> ducking clipper> whirl> ducking clipper (I hit it! Thanks Bob!)
some sweet long strings with spinning ducking clippers in them
Toward the middle, Zach was teaching me stepping sets, which, mind you, was EXTREMELY aggravating to learn simple ripwalk, sidewalk, and stepping ss butterfly as your buddy stands in front of you and guiltlessly shredding his face off. Anyway:
my first flipside ripwalk
my first CORRECT ripwalk
my first CORRECT stepping ss butterfly
my first CORRECT stepping clipper
Toward the end, I really was feeling like a baby with Zach since I was just learning stepping and he already rips hard at it. The end of my session... was AMAZING:
really figured out my regular strongside swirls
flipside rev-up
The best part of my session is following trick:
REVERSE RIPSTEIN
Zach and I are going to continue this 1 hour 35 min shred every day.

on your weakside, weird stuff is still acceptable to practice for these two weeks. in fact, I'd encourage it because that's what makes your game so awesome, but the learning gap from your weakside to strong side is becoming the grand canyon quickly.
also, you seem to have forgotten drifter and DLO. I see some whirl in your highlights, that's good. spins. weakside weakside weakside.
on basics, your legovers are nonexistant. illusions are not there either. your in-out dexes come easily (such as pickup) so you can lay off there a bit. pdx mirage should be in every run at this stage.
you'll thank me one day young grasshoppa
edit: you and zach... just start permanently starting each run with something you're not good at. it's such an easy habit that will add tons of reps to uncomfortable tricks.
also, let me define "bail" as I was trying to tell zach the other day. you need to start thinking of bail as anytime you mindlessly fall into a trick instead of hitting the run you're interested in. Some will define bails based on adds - that can be a useful learning tool, but I personally think that it needlessly eliminates neat tricks. Like guiltless.. that's a good tool for learning. But technically, doesn't guiltless elimate some pretty cool looking tricks? So, I'm not sure guiltless is a destination as much as a path. So, my point is.. for you (as an example), near pickup is easy peasy thoughtless trick for you. Every time your form breaks down and you're out of balance, you're good enough at pickups to save your run with one. That's a bail. Understand?
