Seriously, thank you again for all you do for modified. I still like/use it more than the Facebook group, and your efforts are a big reason this thing is still going. Thank you again.

Yeah, Allan, I also want to thank you for your time you put into this sport. Would love to see more videos from you though. You've really inspired me with double spins and insipins recently. Love DSO> Blur bs. Would love to see that and hit it eventually. Great news about modified too, can't wait to see some of the changes you're planning. Thanks again for all you do.

Oh! Almost forgot.. The Lunar Lons.. Wearing them right now as work shoes, but I played in them few times and actually hit a new harder 6 add bs in them. I was really surprised they were decent for shred.

That Youtube download feature sounds like a great addition. Thanks for keeping this thing going. It seems to have picked up quite a bit lately, hopefully that can continue too.

Thank you for all the kind thanks, peoples :) I do it all for you! I've all but given up doing professional web development, so I've had a lot more time and energy to devote to modified, and it is very much a labour of love, so THANK YOU folks for being so cool.

I'm just getting ready to go shred with Matt, so maybe I'll post some highlights; I'm not sure if I'll video anything, but perhaps.

Still no word from Mike :(

Gonna go shred soon :) Matt is at the US Open, so it'll be a solo session.

Matt & I had a short session last night. Matt's back was bothering him, but he still had quite a few good runs. I wasn't playing great, but still managed to hit inspinning drifter, which is a way fun trick :) I had a couple of spinning runs that felt pretty good too: dsc > dso > iso > a bunch of contacts; and inspinning osis x 3 bsos.

I took some video, but haven't gotten it off my phone yet, let alone edited anything. I'm getting a bit of a backlog of footage now, so hopefully I'll be able to put a short video together soon.

Even if I get a video together, I'm not really sure where to put it yet. I'm done publishing through YouTube. Those assholes can jump off a cliff extorting indie music labels and forcing shitty ads down my throat in every page load. I'll likely move over to Vimeo, but I'm pretty broke ... I'm also toying with starting a self-hosted thing, but that's not high on the priorities list.

Anyhow, I'm slacking off at work right now, so I should probably go do something ... :)

Oh, and props to Cass on rubber woman!!

All The Avatars of Everyone Ever

Post by Allan » 22 Jul 2014 17:34

Please don't post this on Facebook or anywhere else. This is just for us reading the forum over the next few days. I present to you:

All The Avatars of Everyone Ever

This is a list of every avatar of every user who's ever registered on modified, chronologically.

A keen eye might notice that I'm first, but that's just a by product of how the query was written (no, seriously), as I'm using this code for something else, but I had the idea that I could do this quickly and that it would be cool. The thing is: if a bunch of people start viewing it, it could slow the whole site down, as it's a pretty big query (5000). I doubt it would get enough hits to actually do that, even if it were posted everywhere, but better safe than sorry.

I'm not leaving it up. I will take a screenshot of the whole thing and post it here, but that won't be animated, and to me that's part of the fun of this page.

For now, enjoy :)

Pretty cool, thanks for posting this little "modified only" treat. Saw lots of familiar "faces".. really made me miss modified from the old days.

That's very cool!
It was fun listing off whose avatars we (Ben and I) recognized, though we couldn't find our own avatars. It might have just been my computer's loading, but given that we registered around the same time between Ivan and Ryan, our avatars were replaced with either flowers or twin cat gifs as stand-ins. :)

You don't currently have an avatar set, bluevampire101 so it won't show you. This is a "live" view of all the entire member list and whatever their current avatar is ...
