Links of the day that i have left to try:

Day 21 - phoenix>fog or zipper set blur>motion
Day 22 - spinning ducking butterfly>spinning ducking osis or pixie ss dlo>double orbit
Day 23 - locomotion>paradox blender or smoke (pixie drifter)>ducking paradox mirage
Day 24 - Phoenix> food processor or atomic ss dlo> butterfly swirl

Day 21 is going to have to be the zipper set combo cuz i suck at pixie/(any uptime set) ducking
Day 22 Im going to try the first link
Day 23 I want to try and hit both links. I have never hit smoke, but have tried for many years. I'm hoping, like in a previous link with pixie paradon, that I can hit the new trick.
Day 24 I want to try the second link. I also have never hit atomic ss dlo

Lets see what happens. New Years Jam is getting close! Can't wait to wirlyball while on a sugar high from all the Faygo that will be drunk

There's a hilarious shitty Rock festival in Montana every year. I've had to work during the last two but going this year. So many funny bands. It's gonna rule and be absolutely terrible at the same time. Vince Neil from motley crue is headlining

heres last years lineup:

Chris and I played today in babylon, ny in Chris's driveway. Going to play again tomorrow with a new person at my local high school track. Should be fun. Here are some highlights from today.

Things that were cool to hit:
 Symposium whirling swirl 3X (not in a row). I hit a whirling swirl on christmas eve but after many tries. The symposium whirling swirl seems to be easier for me.
 motion from same clipper
 double switch > paradon > barfly

Things that I am happy to still be hitting:
 mobius
 vortex
 gyro dlo
 Spinning whirl handcatch > flip spinning whirl handcatch (after two turns of missing both sides)

Weaving cross body rake

NYFA played yesterday at Maria Hernandez Park, Brooklyn. Beautiful day for shred for the last day of January. We were surrounded by a snow bank, but I was able to play in a t-shirt. Mikie, Drew, Bruce, and Myself attended.

I had a pretty good day at it. I will post some links that I hit and tried.

Hit:
 Blur > toe spinning mirage > run
 Diving Butterfly rake
 double pick up > whirl
 torque > barfly
 dyno > torque
 mobius, gyro dlo, spinning whirl both sides, vortex
 leggy atomic same butterfly (inspired by Rory) crispy paradon

Did not Hit:
 double switch > symposium blink
 gyro allusion > drifter
 atom smasher > grifter

Had a lot of sweet runs with some Tripless going on at points

I wonder if the weather will allow us to play outside again?

 dlo > pixie same mirage > tap
 symple reverse swirl > mirage >symple swirl

had symposium torque off my foot

Madd density in those highlights. Awesome stuff. Plus Blacula! Such a good trick. And Symp Torques are awesome, but hard to pull off just right. I think my most successful ones are when I make sure my Osis stays directly under my ass during the entire trick. Does Kyle still kick with you guys?

Thanks for the advice on symp tourques. That was the first time I ever tried, and I was pretty close. I gotta remember to try them again. I have not kicked with Kyle in a while. I saw online that he hit clipper x8 both sides though!

Had a great session with NYFA after recovering from a kinked neck 4 or five days before. My flow and variety felt good. Bruce, Drew, Outsider, Mikie, and I kicked.

Here are some of my highlights:
 paradox barrage (First Time)
 Knee bump> same dlo (First Time)
 paradox drifter > paradox flail
 reverse swirling symp mirage! (Second time)

Drew filmed us playing. Hopefully another vid like the Washington Squirrel Park one will pop up!

Hey nice! We do the same tricks :D I hit my first flip Rev Swirling Symp Mirage tonight. Props on getting that one. It's a really fun trick. I'm starting to ease it into my runs. It's a crown-pleaser, for sure. I thought about doing Pdx Barrage tonight, but I quickly decided against it, because my legs were tired at that point, so props on succeeding on what I chickened out on :P Props on the other stylish highlights!

Those are great highlights. I have hit pdx barrage once, it's quite hard. I like that knee dlo too, I've done that a few times. Last trick sounds great too.

Props, that's a super fun one. Can you hit it flip? I find flip to be completely impossible for some reason.

Would love to see some vids posted in hurr.

Thanks for the nice words dudes!

Nick, do you think you could hit symposium reverse swirling mirage?

Boyle, knee bumping to dlo is pretty cool feeling. I want to try to hit knee bumping same dada curve. Also, knee bump > same mo fly would be insane.

Ken, I can't even reverse swirl on my flip. Ish dont make sense to me so hitting the ladder trick is not possible for me. I'm hoping Drew will cut together a vid with the footage we took on his phone last weekend. I hit some cool tricks and links on camera including that reverse swirling symp mirage

Drew ran into his favorite guy Beetlejuice the other day!!!! Drew has been having a great string of luck recently. Image

I just had an hour long session in the drizzle. I practiced basic things both sides.
My flip pixie butterfly's are feeling way better.
I hit spinning leg over > pixie same clipper > gyro mirage
pixie far osis > drifter both sides

At the end of the session I was practicing double downs. My flip paradon was feeling great so I decided to practice my flip barfly. Managed to get barfly > barfly!!! First time doing this!

Spring is here!

I think I have actually leveled up. This winter gave nyfa many saturday sessions. Since I last posted, I have played with nyfa a couple of times, played with Brandon Turner in Florida, played with Nate Pipenberg, and today, I played with Chris.

Things are starting to click for me. I have been practicing swirls on both sides. This is a trick that has always given me difficulty. My strong mobius is feeling really good. I hit maybe 6 of them today.

Here are some highlights from the last couple o weeks:

 Reactor (Atomic whirl) First time!
 Fusion
 drifter rake
 spinning whirl both sides
 blizzard > blender
 Blurry whirl
 toe walkover > twirl
 vortex is getting more consistent
 superfly
 pixie badger
 mama curves (illusioning symposium butterfly)
 Swifter... First time! Dream trick of mine
 Reverse swivel (symposium swirling same osis) First time!
 Paradox miraging flail

Here are some of my footbag dreams... To be consistent with whirling swirl, to hit toxic (mirage symposium mirrage), and smoke

Here are some combos I hit today with NYFA

 miraging flail > toe barrage
 stepping far osis > dlo > torque
 quantum mirage > symp blink
 maelstrum
 ended a run with scorps tail, ended another run with spinning clipper > spinning whirl
 began a run with mobius
 mama curve
 blazing butterfly
 miraging pickup
 gyro dlo

Jon Schneider, Greg, and Johnny Breakdown played as well. Outsider was playing really well. He hit ripstein. He also hit hopover swirl > whirl > swirl > whirling swirl

This session was bitter sweet cuz Johnny Breakdown is moving to Costa Rica in the next week or so with his girl. Last NYFA sesh with Johnny for a while. Awesome to have him part of the club, even if he played infrequently with us.

That Outside run sounds like it had a lot of flow. Miraging flail sounds really hard.

The past three weekends I have got to kick with a bunch of awesome people.

Three weeks ago I was in Salem Massachusetts visiting Boston Shred Crew. Kicked with Hogan all three days I was there. Kicked with Pete on the second day. Pete destroyed it. So good, stylish, dense. He was trying surging muted torque. It looked so cool. My best day was the third day. I took mad ibuprofen and it def helped.

Finally hit paradon swirl!

Kevin and I watched Suspiria (a Dario Argento movie about witches) while in Salem. Im a tourist!

A cool link i hit recently was motion > swivel! Another 5 to 5. I have never connected three 5's

Two weekends ago I helped host our annual tournament. NYFA TED!!!!!! It was our tenth tournament and probably lowest attended. Ivan came through, and Pete / Hoag arrived on saturday night. It was very nice to play at Central Park, NYC. There was a guy there playing the Berimbau (a bow like instrument amplified by a gord) Very cool instrument, and i never new it was played with a gourd to boost the sound. Later on a drum circle happened which is my favorite thing to play footbag to. Unlucky for me, I was too tired to play to dem drums.

Last weekend... Zac Miley was in town! Such a quick, technical, text-book form this guy has. He was hitting things like pixie double down swirl, and i think his favorite trick is pixie same simple swirl. Truly awesome playing with this guy.

I hit spinning touzani around the world for the first time, and first try i think. Touzani around the world is a soccer trick that is like a pickuping atomic kick. I have hit the trick gyro, but never spinning.
