Fun video. Crazy to see you stepping ducking so well when not too long ago stepping was something you thought you could barely do! Also, great to see Seb in the background there! How was he playing??

Seb had a bad day so it was a bad sess, but he does not play much these days.
stepping ducking is still hard and only one side, flip step still sucks!

tuning up new routine, still need to polish 1 part but it's an easy one. everything else is pretty much set in stone. Been practicing as much as I can when I have time. Got shivers from dropless yesterday but droped last 2 tricks. Today I had a 1 drop performance with the drop on a legover

filmed some cool combos I'll make a vid when I can

Some sick combos there in your latest videos!

Glad to hear you're doing another routine. I still remember when you went dropless a few East Coasts ago against Evan Gatesman. That routine was on fire!

Your symp twists are so good!
How are your swirls? Rev swirls are easier for me too, but symp is so hard! Crazy how you drill them in so effortlsesly! It's great to see you playing so frequently again too! Keep it up, loving the videos :)

my swirls are terrible haha, but I never worked on them

After 10 years of footbag, Seb told me I should stop wasting time on stepping sets and work on stuff that works/clicks/feels natural.

I got stubborn at stepping, but followed the advice for the rest of my game and decided to give up on tons of stuff.

Like I've hit ripstein both sides at least one, checked, done, been there, and walked away and will never do it again, same for superfly

Some stuff just feels nice to check on the list and not have dialed in my case

That approach has worked pretty well for Vasek too, he only really focuses on certain tricks that he's really good at, but I'm sure he's done a lot of tricks that nobody has done, just to check them off the list!

Yep, I feel that way too for lots of tricks, including superfly as well. Especially tricks that hurt, superfly again being one of those. Really want to hit ripstein and never have to hit it again, but don't see myself very close to that since I can only really do rev swirls too. Also, I wish I had Seb to give me advice. What a superstar.

EDIT: Hey, Mathieu, you don't have contact info for Yacine, do you? I captured his VHS Overground and want to ask him if I can publish it on YouTube.

no fillming in the past week
yesterday did some routine practice, but only 3 attempts
3 drop, 1 drop, dropless
then decided to go for 20x20, got it in 25mins! one 100 contact, one 86, and a 68 helped a lot

I'd like to nail it under 20min one day

That's a great goal - the 100 would really help! It takes me a lot longer to get there, I've got to get more of those big number runs.
