Nothing new today. Focused on playing with good form, particularly keeping my knees closer together. This seemed to help my balance and efficiency.

TJ--

Thanks for the comment. I used to go down to Osaka almost every weekend, but I became so busy with school (and my girlfriend) last year that I had to stop going regularly. I want to head down sometime soon and have a session with you and Kenzo. Kenzo and I used to play a lot. If only Kyoto and Osaka were closer and trains were cheaper...Do you play on the weekends also?

Session highlights for today:

The weather was really nice today, which made kicking very comfortable.
Nothing new, but I feel I am getting my touch back:

A run with barfly BSOS

A run with what felt like a tight diving butterfly BSOS, with merkon>toe whirl towards the end

A run with blizzard BSOS, with a spinning osis later on

Atom smasher and flip Legbeater--hadn't hit those in awhile.

I really need to get some new shoes. I will be in the States in March, and I plan on looking for some G6s. Anyone have any ideas on where to find good prices?

I got a very nice professional classical guitar today. It is the instrument of my dreams!

It's going to be hard to tear me away from it...

I sure hope modified gets healthy once again...

I had a pretty good one-hour session today despite the cold, strong wind and cloudy skies. I had some points where I felt really 'upright' in my posture and able to breathe really well while playing. I felt much more open and lighter than usual. This was probably due to keeping a better posture and strengthening my abs.

Highlights:

sidewalk>ripwalk (rpt) into a short guiltless run

32 infinities (my record is around 60 I think)

32 contacts of butterfly>infinity>osis>paradox mirage

a 52-contact tiltless run

blur BSOS

spinning osis BSOS

a few symple swirls

paradox whirl BSOS

My shoes are slowly dying...I have enormous holes in the bottoms of both shoes. I think my playing would be lighter if I had some more cushioning.

Listening to the Cocteau Twins a lot recently...

Had a session today although it was still quite cloudy and cold. I had a sandwich before shred, so I felt a little heavier than yesterday. Nevertheless, I felt pretty good.

Highlights:

paradon>barfly BS

a smooth blurriest

magellan>smear>pixie legover>(rpt)

5 zulu clippers

barfly BSOS

A run with toe/clipper/paradox whirl, all BSOS

Spinning pincher and ducking pincher BS

I played footbag with Adam and Tj at Kyoto yesterday. These members are rare. I had so much fun, and it gave me incentive to shred. but my condition was so bad, because my sleep time was 2 hours last night.

My hightlight:
sorry...nothing...

Adam's hightlight:
whirl > pdx whirl (repeat)
whirl> drifter (repeat)
pigbeater > run

TJ's hightlight:
phoenix > pixe ducking dlo
pdx whirl > pdx drifter (repeat)
and more...

Had a massive session yesterday with TJ, Debi, and Kenzo. This week in Japan is Golden Week, so most people have a week off from work. The weather was fantastic! It was warm but with a slight coolness in the air, and there was not a cloud in the sky.

Lots of good stuff was hit by everyone, but I'll just post my highlights.

Run with bubbabeater, eggbeater, and pdx egg all BS
Pdx drifter BSOS
9 gyro clippers
79 infinities
35 osii
26 pixie legovers

After our session, we went to a bathhouse and had a well-deserved hot bath. We then went out for dinner and stopped by a bar that serves some Mexican food appetizers. The food was pretty good. Since I came to Japan, Mexican food has been one of my strongest food cravings.

Had a session last weekend with Kenzo, TJ, and some other folks. The Japan Footbag Championships are on the the 28th of this month so we were passing out fliers.

We went to a crowded park in the city and footbagged for a bit to spark some interest. It seemed to work pretty well and many fliers got passed out.

I've been kicking and juggling a bit each morning. I've had some luck with my juggling:

6-ball flash!
around 60 catches of 5-ball cascade
some 3-ball siteswaps

7 balls is still chaotic but I feel like I can perceive what I am doing a bit more...
