Furious/Barraging

Furious/Barraging
CLIP > OP IN [DEX] > SAME IN [DEX] >>
http://hood.012webpages.com/_videos/Barraging.wmv

Hi, everyone

I'm hitting baraging set simple just quantium from clipper. This move automaticly transforms into double quantium(that's the theoretical aspect, isn't it?) . By this way i'v succeed a couple of times to hit Jany Walker. I think sets becomes clean but too low.

I will enjoy for additional tips.

Yo !

My knowledge on barraging is somewhat limited, but i still can give you
some tips, dude ; just to clear it up, a single miraging set from a clipper
is called stepping and a miraging set from toe is called quantum, when you set to the opposite site ( or "slapping", if you set to the same side).

Now, a double miraging set from a clipper is called "high stepping"
or barraging, like a double mirage from a clipper is called barrage.
Same set but to the op. side is called furious...
Double quantum though sounds insane and i never heard or thought
of this until now. but thats just me.

Props for hitting barraging butterfly ( Janiwalker ) its such a good move :P

Maby practicing barrages, with the second dex at peek time would
help, but again thats just me :?

Arrrgh ! Where are Jeremy and Matt when u need em !

pssst, put in your real name and your location...forum policy...psst

Here are my tips for a barraging set:

First you should drill your symp whirl sets and quantum sets like crazy!

When you do a symp whirl set it feels like you're not trying to set the bag up with the setting foot at all - you're just doing the symp whirl dex and the bag pops up - same thing for furious.

When you are setting for a furious set - hold the clipper stall fairly close to you - the further away it is the more you have to move and since you need a very tight dex to get the set - this makes it a lot harder. Start the dexes exactly like a symp whirl - watch a video of Vasek or Ales in slow mo and you can see that the first dex occurs below the knee with a tight whirl like action and the setting foot not touching the ground. For the first dex the knee should stay inside the bag. The second dex occurs by pushing the knee outwards - like a quantum set and planting with your setting foot while you do this. Try not to hunch over too much - keep your back straight if you can and practice lots on both sides. Best of luck.

Also name in sig!

i've heard that doing barrages starting in a whirl motion is terrible for your knees. When I do barrages whirly style, I can definitely feel it in my knee. think more of stepping ss quantum set if you knee starts to hurt from Jeremy's style. it feels like a nice upright pull of the leg instead of wrenching the knee.

I have heard that as a tip so many times and have tried to hit barraging sets for a couple of years with no success. Now I read it again and it finally all makes sense in my head. I'm going back to skool.

Anyone have this video file? The link no longer works. I would love to d/l this and set it aside for the day I am ready to learn this amazing set. Plus you know, set up a working link for future generations.

I need help with my barrage set for nemesis

Post by Ogden 09/04 » 01 Dec 2007 12:49

I can only get a good set like 1/9 times i try to attempt nemesis. I can hit jonnie walker 1/2 times. Any advice would be helpful.

warm up with symp quantum and symp whirl and remember, you only have to set about as high as your balls.

Quick plant of set dex foot and quick switch of feet is key to nemesis.

i dont have much, but since you asked for any kind of advice, here it goes :
it sounds like if you arent really comfortable with barraging itself, so it might
be to early to attempt this move - everybody i know hitting it was busting
JANI walkers, furies and/or flurries all over the place, before attempting nem .
maby you should also post a vidoe of your barraging sets, if you want to get detailed advice on how to make it better.
