Tissue under knee?

Post by JeffOverbo » 07 Feb 2009 01:11

I started drilling ps whirls last week, and since then i am having a sharp pain from under my knee. I have reason to believe its not a joint pain because it throbs when not moving at all. Is there tissue under the knee cap? has anyone had this? will it go away after rest? any ideas at all?

there is a tissue called the meniscus that lies between your femur and tibia. You don't want to damage this because it may force you to stop playing footbag forever. Knee surgery is what some athletes try, but has also been known to worsen things (so you don't want to even get to the point of requiring surgery).

I'd seriously go to a doctor and have it checked out. Your knee is the one joint you do not want to mess with.

The above was just to scare you... but more likely you have irritated a bursa, which is something much less serious.
