Psoas Major(?) muscle pain.

Post by AdAstra » 07 Aug 2015 10:29

Hello everyone, I've recently had a lot of trouble with pain while foot-bagging. Any move requiring me to rapidly change the momentum of my leg hurts me in the inner thigh/groin region (So basically every move ever). The muscle responsible, I believe, is the Psoas Major. Does anyone else have this recurring problem? It's making "Around the World" and related tricks with toe-stalls near impossible.

Any stretches or advice would be appreciated!

Update: the pain seems to be almost exclusively when I move my leg over the footbag from inside to out. Out to in no longer hurts for whatever reason.

Hey man, film yourself doing some of the painful out-in movements and post it here. I think you're using too much hip flexor for those tricks. Try lifting your knee directly up, tilting your toes out, then dex. Limit the motion around the groin.
