Excuse me Moxie, while I hand you a Kleenex so you can cry your eyes out.

Note: Kleenex is a brand name for tissue.

bring back the net forum. I know 3 freestylers in my club alone who also play net. There must be others out there.

Start a net forum.

Net and freestyle have almost nothing to do with eachother.

We should stop trying to force some bond just because of tradition.

It's like trying to get siblings to fuck.

Me and a few friends play net, 2 of them only play net (don't freestyle)

Why is this in Health and injuries?

I would like to see a net forum back up on modified. Mosher, if you read this, go back up and read your post. Ouch!

I think there would be just as much, if not more, action on the net forum than in the 4 square forum. Please consider.

Because Health and Injuries replaced the net forum.

I would vote for getting rid of the 4-square forum in general. I know it's not likely because I'm all the way across the country, but still, don't kill me Zeke.

I don't care if it's replaced with a net forum. Jeremy, (I'm not attacking in any way, just curious) what is the reason you'd want to get net people to post on here instead of (or as well as?) the .org forum?

I think there are several reasons for a net subsection on this forum.

1) Several net players read this forum even without a Net section, and more would likely read it if there were a net section. This would increase traffic to modified (not the younger variety).
2) Several freestyle players have more recently expressed interest in or enjoyment of net. Modified is a convenient place to expose more freestylers to the net game and to provide access to the tools one would need to begin playing.
3) Modified is stagnant. There are very few intriguing posts and threads anymore. Maybe the re-introduction of a Net forum could spark some interest or at least spice up a recently dull site.
4) The goal for footbag in it's current state still needs to be expansion via unification, or at least mutual understanding of the co-disciplines. There is virtually NO communication between the net and freestyle worlds even though they are often showcased at the same venues.
5)It would be a location for net players to interact with freestylers. There is just not enough action on .org.

Personally, I agree on all points except 3, and will bring it up with the mods and adMike.

Would bringing back the net forum necessarily mean it would replace the 4-square forum? Are we running out of internet?

I don't care much for net, but I really, really like Jeremy's 4th and 5th points.

I'd love to see net and freestyle as more of a single community rather than two separate. A neighboring house at Worlds last year was mostly net players and I didn't recognize a single one of them, even if some of them were the best in the world (I actually have no idea) -- it was really weird. One of them offered me food immediately after my walking in the door and I'm sure he didn't know who I was either -- it was, like, really friendly like freestylers are amongst ourselves, and it would be great if we had more people to share that with, especially with semi-similar interests (footbag).

His 1st point was nice.
And to add to his 2nd point, maybe even freestylers with no interest in net (like my self) would come to better appreciate the other discipline.
