- Super Mario Kart SNES (I can't believe I haven't seen this posted yet)
- CIV 3 PC
- Halflife
- AMPED 2
- Good old original SF2 arcade
hmm my list has not changed much in 3 or so years.
Maybe I would switch AMPED 2 with SKATE which is the same genre but only done so much better...

Surely Half-life 2 (including eps 1 and 2) would easily make it on the list in front of the original Half-life.

in terms of game play, sure. half-life 2 was one hell of a fun game, especially at the end with the gravity gun. i never played eps 1 and 2, so i can't speak for them directly but i can imagine how fun they would be based off HL2.
i put HL1 over HL2 because quite simply, there is no half life
2 with out half life

1 Final Fantasy 2 (Originally adored on the North American SNES, later as the fan translation of the original japanese FFIV.. I might have to buy a DS to try the newest 3d version when it's out

)
2 Phantasy Star 4 (Sega Genesis)
3 Socom series (PS2)
4 Ocarina of Time (N64)
5 Perfect Dark (N64)
The GTA series was very good, but is starting to get a little old. Maybe a future PS3 release will tickle me the right way.

Good call on Subspace, I had forgot about that! I had loads of fun with that game when I was younger... I just checked out the site and it looks like it's still going pretty strong
1) Starcraft
2) Warcraft 3
3) Diablo 2
4) Spy vs Spy
5) Donkey Kong Country 2
Honorable Mention: Bubble Bobble, Garou: Mark of the Wolves

I was so hooked on it until I moved back to Israel and the lag made it impossible to play. Otherwise I'd still be playing it

It's the ultimate 2d space shooter imo.
Oh yes and Phantom hourglass is DS, obviously, not PC.

Erik Chan wrote:1) Vagrant Story (PSX; by Square -- similar to MGS, but medieval and KICKASS -- similar battle system to Parasite Eve (really great!) plus chain attacks...geez, just play this game!!)
2) Metal Gear Sold series (I have an XBox, so I have barely even played Snake Eater!!!... Thinking of getting a PS3 for all the games I've missed out on...Playstation is BY FAR the best console, except the fact that it breaks? Will PS3 play all PSX/PS2/PS3???)
3) The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind (My favourite game, but it's lower because I play it on PC, rather than console, so I find it hard to count as a game....rather than a way of life...*ahem* Anyone who's played knows exactly what I mean.)
4) Max Payne 1+2 (Like...a combination of the best video games, movies, and comics... It's seriously an amazing game...)
5) hard to choose a #5...
Mine's still the same after 3 years too.
Maybe add Rock Band to number 5. It's super fun. I dunno about all time, but I can't think of another, really. And I've spent a lot of time playing Guitar Hero (don't have Rock Band myself...yet!) I have to reinforce that Vagrant Story is my absolute favourite game of all time. I'm playing it again. It's so 10/10. Final Fantasy XII is up there too, with the same creative team as Vagrant Story.
I also haven't played MGS4 or FFXIII (which both look fantastic... need me a PS3! I'm always a generation behind on the whole console thing, so I will prolly get one in a year or 2...)
