post your vector artwork

Post by Paul Agostinelli » 11 Feb 2009 03:30

exactly what the subject says, post YOUR vector artwork (please no images of others' work, anyone can do a simple google search and see what the insane pros can do with gradient mapping)

in fact, ill save you the trouble,

here is what is possible with illustrator
http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl ... rch+Images

there are some real gems in there, i highly recommend browsing them

this thread, however, is devoted to what you guys make using illustrator or other vector based programs. i wont totally nix raster images (photos and other pixel based images) but id say that there should at least be some vector work done in whatever you post.

ill even get the ball rolling

That's a sweet looking tree, Paul. Did you use one of the standard ink brushes? Ever create your own?
Yeah vector! I produce most of my finished work in Adobe illustrator (vector-based art program). I have to say though, that photo-realism (vector or not) never impresses me. Well, I have to give respect to their patience, technical abilities and mastery of blends and gradients, but all those guys are lost without a photo (usually taken by someone else) to trace from.

Here's an older one from me:
