Hey all,
Wanted to update this thread. Everyone knows I am a man of many hobbies, one of which is of course Street Fighter. Right now the game is in a serious boom stage, getting a lot of publicity and endorsement. It's showing up in mainstream media more and more. Thanks to a couple of things, it is larger now than ever before, and just like footbag it has a very dedicated scene involved in it. Just as we have www.modified.in, Street Fighter has www.shoryuken.com. We've been mobilizing in our local Portland group, quite a few footbag players here also play Street Fighter now, a few competitively. ; ) We are in the process of building a mobile gaming arcade in Portland right now, it's a pretty easy sell to the public and businesses. You can probably find one in your area : )

Anyhoo, if you haven't checked out the game yet, give it a shot. It's mad fun and addicting, commonly we'll go play footbag and then kick it with some Street Fighter. Read this great article that finally breaks down the common comparison of chess to SF;

And here's a hype match from Evo World Champion Daigo (Street Fighter's Vasek Klouda) and US Champion Justin Wong.

Anyway, if you like games of strategy, this is the gold standard in video games. Give it a shot, it's hella fun!

Hey gang,
This documentary just went up all over the internet, pretty well edited and covers what we do in Portland on the competitive gaming side.
