Challenge Dan Zinn
Hey modified, I just recently got back into footbag. I'm tryin really hard to work on doublesideness so i'm practically only using my left side for like the next month.
i stopped playin after a very long case of shin-splints, then when they were gone, i felt like i couldn't get back into it so i just slowly stopped playin and became a couch potato. I'm lookin to get back into it, and just today i was tryin to see where i am and i'm shocked really. problem is, the only side that i'm good with is my strong side, took me 4 tries to nail a clipper once leftside pewpew.
what i can do:
ATW
pixie
clipper
butterfly
legover
mirage
dimwalk (only strongside)
datw (only strongside)
pickup
illusion
smear (sketchy)
smudge (sketchy)
PLO (sketchy)
Challenges:
ATW x20 (out-in)
ss Clipper x20
dimwalk > pdx mirage > rpt
dimwalk > pdx illusion > PLO > rpt
pdx DLO > PLO > parkwalk > rpt
Challenges Completed:
ATW x 20 (in-out)
Legover > mirage x10
Legover > Legover x10
Mirage x10 (both sides)
pickup > pickup
pixie > opp Pixie x4
Infinity > Infinity
Clipper > opp Clipper x20
pdx mirage bsos
i'm looking to balance things so that my left side can at least keep up with my right side. the best and strongest trick i can nail is dimwalk
any tips?

pixie op butterfly = dimwalk.
try these:
legover > mirage RPT 10 contacts
legover > legover 10 contacts
mirage x10 (both sides)
pickup > pickup (try to repeat once)
butterfly > opposite side butterfly (if you dont plant the foot that sets the bag, it's called an infinity, which in my opinion sounds cool enough to work for )

Mirage -> ss mirage rpt 8 contacts
can you pixie both sides?
pixe -> op pixie rpt 4 contacts
Hit Illusion both sides.
Not a challenge, an advice -try everything you know same side (legover, mirage, butterfly etc). It took me forever to find out there's more than one way to hit a trick. Good luck!

WOW is all i can say. i hit all of those guys, thanks, i must be having an amazing shred day, because i just started, and nailed all of those. the legover>legover i did 18 contacts, and i did the illusion 3 times. i think i might be able to add something in between the pixies now, just something really really easy, the flipside pixie is still weird, and i hit myself in the face every once in a while (jokes).
but thank-you KEEP EM COMING!!!
oh ya, i'm adding a personal record to do 10,000 toetaps in a day because...

ATW in to out - x20
ATW out to in - x20
^Both sides.^
Clipper>ss clipper>rpt x20
Once you've hit 20, try 30, and then 50 and work your way up to a hundred or more. If you drill these easy basics (WITH PROPER FORM) you will progress alot faster, as your muscle memory will already know exactly how to do the motions with wicked consistency. It'll help you hit bigger tricks and it will help your string length.
I'm still working on 30 ATWs. It's a surprisingly hard drill.
good luck!
(seriously though, your form is the most important thing to work on while you practise. Every trick you do, you should ask yourself "am I making this trick look as good as it possibly can?" Watch lots of Vasek vids and try to emulate his form. It's the best.)

wow, the atw drill is really really hard. amazing for balance i should think though because it feels like you need alot of balance and control to stay steady and consistant. I can hardly keep my leg up that long it burns thats for sure. i got to 8 yesterday. hey do you think that trying to do a DATW flipside would help my atw consistency???
the clipper drill is really good too, i've been working on form, i'm goin to try to get a video camera so that i can film it, and see what you think, i can tell that there is a big difference from my leftside to the rightside. feels like maybe i'm not cushioning the bag enough or something. i've only been doing flipside mostly though because i can still feel a huge difference and i don't want to progress without being even, if you know what i mean.
and how knows Danny, maybe when i get that videocamera....... CHALLENGE!!!
i would definately not be the "challenger" though

atws will eventually make your datws more consistent. Don't practise in reverse
Just keep at it. Do these drills every day, even if it's all you do for a while. They're the most rudementary movements in the game, and they will lay a SUPER solid foundation for the rest of your game if you can hit 100+ contacts of each one, at will. ...assuming you're doing it with proper form.

i think thats the problem i might be having, i always practiced hittind a ATW, but ATW>ATW is weird, my balance gets thrown off, and it gets hard to pop the bag. i guess thats a good thing as i'm building muscle? i dont know thats what i'm assuming.
i'll keep at it though, the clipper>ss clipper drill for the flipside is beginning to show its results
edit: i used to feel this burning sensation in my leg at 2 ss clippers now its 4

oh man its kinda hard to explain,
this line taught me from Danny's challenge thread:
Triforce up to 5 (clipper>op clipper>op clipper>ss clipper>op clipper>ss clipper>op clipper>ss>ss>op>ss>ss>up to 5 on each side)
triforce 6 would be:
clipper>opp
opp>ss>opp>ss>
opp>ss>ss>opp>ss>ss>
opp>ss>ss>ss>opp>ss>ss>ss>
opp>ss>ss>ss>ss>opp>ss>ss>ss>ss>
opp>ss>ss>ss>ss>ss>opp>ss>ss>ss>ss>ss>
opp>ss>ss>ss>ss>ss>ss>opp>ss>ss>ss>ss>ss>ss>
thank God for CTRL+V
the number indicates how many ss clippers you do. But in order to do triforce 4, you have to do triforce 3, 2 and 1 first, sorta. i think you get it. I honestly have no idea why the name.... there is nothing tri about it.
Edit: its really fun drill, it helped me get to 16 flipside ss clippers.

yeh!! i did the ATW in-out challenge x20 bs. now for out-in.
man ATWs are hard when you do them back to back, but i was able to do 30 on my strongside, and 26 on my flip... now i cannot even do one my muscles are so tired.
on a happier note, my new tricks are updated, i can hit out of pixie pretty well now, i can do smear and smudge and PLO midstring strongside, and still practicing it flipside.
