Challenge a challenger (13/34)

Post by Radek » 10 Apr 2009 13:12

I used to challenge many times, now I feel it's time for me to be challenged.

You can see me "in action" on wrc footbag videos, but lemme describe my trick selection:

I love spins, steppings, duckings, divings, zulu, zooming sets.

I like atomic sets, since month I pratcice quantum set a bit. I like torques, drifters, I dislike barflies etc :S (but If you want me to hit something with it, feel free), I like nuclear sets, but got to work more at my flipside :( same with whirrs heh.

I've done not more than 5 sick3 combos in my life and I remember only one hehe, it was ripped warrior>matador>pdx torque so if u got some fearless links, sick3s or even bigger combos feel free to write ;)
I like to hit drills, so if you got any drill for me, feel free to write it here.

sick threes are super fun, and I have one in mind you might be able to do.
matador>blurry whirl>whirling swirl
not sure if that works out for your strong side or not.

Oh hahahahaha

I was like, does he think I am Felix or Olav? Anyway I will try, ok so I can say I hit the drifter>reverse swirl>rpt today, then ripwalk>pdx drifter>rpt I am really close to blurry drifter>ripwalk>rpt, its matter of time.

By the way I like this challenge with whirls, I try it everytime as a warm-up for a shred, I noticed my control after flipside whirl should be improved, I was really close once but failed to hit last blurry whirl. SAme with new brian's challenge, I am working at flipside's osis>rev swirl lately.

Some of those challenges are really hard, links like blurry drifter>sumo are crazy, also I haven't hit atomic drifter both sides yet (just on a one side), my zooming seems to be much worse when hit after a torque than after a blender :(, aomic symposium mirages are extremely tough challenge because my symposium mirage's suck donkey balls to be honest :(.

Butterfly > ps mirage > symp mirage > rpt
PLO > bs smear > rpt
PLO > ducking symp mirage > rpt

Hope that helps symp mirages somewhat

BF>ps mirage>symp mirage>rpt done!

Jeez I hate symposiums so so so bad!!

Anyway thanks for pushing me to hard work on them today, I worked a bit on PS whirl, noticed a bit of progress there. Also refreshed my my strong side PS Whirls and results didn't let me wait long: Whirlygig >BF>mullet. I know its 2 6 adds on strongside only but it yells to be 'work on your flipside asshole so you will hit this sick3 with PS Whirl or even a beast with two' mullets!. edit: ah also I hit backside blur>BF>rpt ;)

So g00d33 (I typo'ed this name 7 times, whatever ;D) thanks for challenges which actually are pretty hard for me. Don't give me more symposiums before I hit all those PLEASE!

@Brianbear

Your challenge is super cool, but I keep dropping on last link with flipside osis into flipside reverse swirl. Anyway I feel If i put some work on my reverse swirl, mid time swirl set on flipside I will hit it easily. So it seems your challenge will improve my flipside swirls, reverse swirls a bit and it's great ;).

@daLai

Challenge number 12 is so fun for me, I tried it many times. Haven't hit it yet, however it improves my stepping after whirls so, so much! I was close to blurry whirl>stepping ss whirl>rpt once. Vasek style ;) So I will keep trying it maybe someday I won't forget about a whirl after second ripwalk, hehe :D

Im just going out to hit a challenge with spinning pdx whirl and drifters, also looking forward for some creative challenges with tricks: butterfly swirl, eggbeater>atomic set, matadors, pdx taps, sumos.

edit: still some work need to be done with this challenge but it's pretty possible that I will hit it soon.

Wow thanks for new challenges. My quantum shoes got huge holes but I will try. If not all, at least majority of these challenges. Some of them are really nice.

@lazy
I love eggbeater>tapping pick up>rpt sweet link there, butterfly blizzard may be really hard because I hit butterfly swirl set by clipper but I will try it anyway because it will force me to do a good stepping set, like you know straight up one. sumo>atomic clipper>hard stuff but also worthy practicing because of frocing me to do proper good straight atomic set.

@Jazz

I am so glad you remember about my challenge, I can't wait to see this move on video! I wanna hit at least 70% of these challenges, really nice creative links there.

Going to add all f these challenges to my challenge list anyway. :D

After today's shred challenges number 8,20,27 are done.

Few words about other challenges I tried this day:

Phoenix>matador>pdx torque (tried it like 30 times - uhh so tired, was close like 4 times missing final osis lol and that's strange because pdx torque meems to be the easiest trick from this sick)

Sumo>atomic clipper>rpt (that is going to be really tough. My flipside sumo got a bit rusty same with flipside atomic set, thx for that challenge, tried even more times than that sick with phoenix)

matador>zulu butterfly (i thought it was going to be easy one, I was wrong. But (!), I will hit it next shred I play I practiced link duck butterfly>matador while trying a sick. Also here is again my flipside matador (used to be a strong one back in past hehe))

Swirling gyro clipper (wow that is so hard one for me, maybe because I hit swirls like midtime? :D)

Spinning osis>reverse swirl (I suck lol, exactly my flipside reverse swirl)

RW>mobius>tomahawk, Blurry whirl>spinning pdx whirl>tomahawk (didn't succeed because of last trick in both, but it's possible to hit.)
