Final exams got you stressed?
Final exams got you stressed?
Does anyone else just shut down once finals week rolls around? I mean wow. I have a Semiconductor Theory final in 12 hours and I can't bring myself to do anything about it. Haha. It's really a horrible habit.

i have spurts of shutting down.
just finished my project thats due tomorrow. check out my blog (in sig) if you want to see it. ive been working on it since midterms and ive put maybe 30+ hours into it. this isnt the only design class i have, so there are other 30 hour projects i turn in tomorrow... then a final exam on monday.
but after next tuesday... im 100% devoted to "training" for worlds. 10% of that is stitching... but i wanna be a damn good shredder in orlando.

Orlando sounds like it would be fun.
Haha. I'm studying while I waste time too. I might wake up mad early tomorrow and hope I have a renewed sense of purpose. But right now I'm just cranking out some equations and reading useless, entertaining tidbits in the kicking circle and browsing footblogs. Thanks for the concern Moxie

We can't miss a minute of school, or we lose 15 minutes worth of credit, and we have to have 100% perfect attendance, or we loss all credit for the class. Time can only be made up outside of school. Being sick doesn't excuse you, not even a car accident. The only time you're absence is excused at our school is if you are injured in school, you have a day to go to the hospital and what not. If you're in the hospital for 5 days, you owe 4 days worth of school time.
It's a very shitty deal. But it keeps us in school I guess. I've missed a total of two hours so far. Check point is this Friday, so I have to make up two hours of time by 2:55 PM on Friday to continue to receive credit in the class. I don't skip school, that's just two hours from being a few minutes late 8 times. 3 minutes late, 1 minute late, 9 seconds late, doesn't matter, time is docked in 15 minute increments. It's absurd to be honest. But I guess I'm used to it.

my other friends that dont go to my school dont have that. when i tell them i dont have to take finals cause of perfect attendance they get angry.C-Fan wrote:Isn't this true of every school? thats the way things were in high school for me. if you made it there every day then no finals. this was a good way to get kids to show up every day.
my college isnt like that. if you miss 3 days, your grade is dropped a letter... and if you miss 6 days then you fail. you have to make a c in a class if its your major. this all makes since to me. its fair for the people who work hard.
just showed my teacher the cards and box. im expecting an a in that class. now all i have to worry about is my one exam.

When I went to school, perfect attendance didn't protect us from any exams.
We had to walk uphill in the snow, barefoot, IN THE HALLWAYS, just to get to the exam room.

Hey Ken, he said something about graduating for perfect attendance, not perfect grammar or any basic grasp of what they tried teaching him.
I think its screwy but this crap education all comes from crappy parenting. I guess they figure if you showed up every day your parents did ok at controlling you so you can graduate even if youre an idiot cause your parents have you under control?

lol? Why does it matter whether you believe me or not? It's true, and that's all that matters. Whether you believe it or not, doesn't stop it from being fact. And it's not the school district's attendance policy, it's my individual school's policy. It's an ALC, they have their own rules they go by there.tstep84 wrote:No offense to you switchkicker, but I can't believe what you just posted. Would you mind telling me the name of your school or give the website. I want to look up your attendance policy. That just seems wack.
Edit: Name's Brookside Junior/Senior High if you care to find it online. I don't know the homepage of my school district, I'll get it tomorrow for you if you want.
