ear gauging

Post by shaggster » 23 Aug 2007 09:43

some call it taboo but i call it addicting.. right now i have my ears at 1/2 inch. i really rushed my ears i had them pierced and 4 days later i had them stretched to a 00g.. i do not suggest doing that i am just impatient and i suffered for doing so. but i soon plan on getting my ears up to around 3/4".

holy shit... your lobes are fuckin huge! mine are at a 6g and thats as far as i'm goin... as soon as my first lobe was done healing i went straight to a 10g, then a few days after i got the other one done i was matched up... waited quite awhile before moving up to the 6's

I was at 1/2 inch like.. 5 or 6 years ago, then I let them shrink and about a year ago I stretched them back up and now I am at 00g.

I think going from pierced to 00 in a few days is really stupid.

I probably won't go any bigger than 00 even though I want to, I just think it looks aesthetically nice relative to my face and ears now.

Check this page out: http://www.bodyartforms.com/forumsV9/to ... OPIC_ID=21. It's as much a stretching how-not-to, as it is a stretching how-to.

I got my lobes pierced last november (i think?) and they're at 8guage right now. Stretched piercings are the cat's meow, if you ask me.

depending on what kind of earrings you've got in you could probably easily move up to a 6 without any pain

yeah tom it was pretty stupid and painful but it was well worth the months of waiting. the only thing that really bugs me about them is the healing process and the smell of the skin on my plugs when i size up.

Yea, the hole punch...NOT funny. Stretched piercings are a permanent modification to your body, and not to be taken lightly. It is important to take piercing seriously, which means going to qualified professionals who use *needles* to pierce. Guns are BAD.

And yes, I know you were just kidding, Andrew, but it really isn't funny because a lot of people do stupid things to get "sweet gauges." I wouldn't be surprised if the hole puncher thing had been done before. That is not a healthy way to treat your body.

My cousin and his friend did it.

then it got infected...because they didn't even bother cleaning it

So my cousin's friend dosn't have an earlobe on his left side because the doc had to hack it off.

gauges are only permanent if you go to extremes such as 3/4 and up... the lobe will always shrink up over time. i've had my ears done like 3 times now and it closed completely from a 00

that all depends on the person... nothing in piercing is an absolute.

I can say that after two years of shrinking from 1/2 inch you could still see light through the holes in my ears.

I really don't think that my ears will ever close up, but why should I give a shit about that?

As soon as I saw the picture of the holepunch it made me feel a little sick. I mean, just thinking about piercing your ears with one...sooo nasty.

I'm at 0g. That's as far as I'll go. I've ripped my ears twice now, so I'm leaving it where it's at.

:o Ouch skippy! I was thinking about getting some ear guaging up in hur. There needs to be a Post-Your-Piercing thread, that'd be interesting. Though I hope nobody would have the pride to show off their schlong piercings, that's just ghoulish.

Mine are at 2g right now. I have two stainless steel tunnels in them. I think the biggest I'll go is 0 or 00. Def no bigger than that though.
Just gotsta make sure you don't guage to quickly or you'll get a blowout in the back. I learned that from my bro bro.

this is actually done in legit piercing shops, and its legal. its shaped completely different... but its used to put large holes in the hard cartilage of your ear.

i had my ears gauged all the way up to 1/2inch... and im trying to get them to shrink up. its been 2 years since mine were 1/2inch. and now, i have 2 gauge earrings in, and that barely holds them in. mine will NEVER grow back, unless i feel like going and having surgery.

another disadvantage of gauging quickly is a cyst that can form on your ear lobe. these cysts can grow from the size of a wart to as big as your ear, and they have to be surgically removed.

from my experience.. i wish i wouldnt have ever gone over 0gauge. 0g has much prettier plugs and spirals than anything smaller, but going to 1/2in has left my ears large and cheesy forever.

a good site to find acrylic/stone plugs/spirals:

Not quite. That is a dermal punch. It's basically a round scalpel.
