The Dark Knight
Yes. I found myself smiling during huge chunks of the movie because I was having so much fun watching it. Purely awesome.

1) batman sounds like a tard when he talks
2) batman is outwitted the entire movie
3) batman is pretty much a tard
4) everything that wasn't the joker was just filler, seriously he just ate up the screen and outclassed the rest of the movie
people clapping in movies drives me bananas

yeah i always want to yell "THEY CANT FUCKING HEAR YOU!"
i havent seen it yet, but thats not suprising because the only hollywood movies i've seen in the past year was "there will be blood" and "before the devil knows you're dead" they were both excellent but i cant watch most hollywood releases. im DEFINITELY going to be seeing the dark knight though, because i havent heard a bad word about it, aside from batman being pretty lame compared to the joker. looks like Ledger will be getting a posthumous oscar nomination.

in the first movie batman is like amazing, he does kung fu to kick the crap out of bad guys. but in this one he's always gettin his ass kicked. why does he suck so much now? i'm pretty sure that if i was batman, i could kick the crap out of a couple dogs. i really hate his suit too.
still though, great movie good ending. the showdown with joker was cool with the hostages.

Is it good? Yes. Does it live up to the hype? No.
I agree with what James said. Whenever the Joker was not on screen I was kinda bored. Ledger definitely gave an Oscar winning performance.
I feel it might have been better as two separate movies. It seemed to drag on. I'd say go see it just to watch Heath Ledger as the Joker.

During the movie I remember thinking "This is so fun that I haven't even thought about how long this is, that's great." Then 20 minutes later I thought the movie was going to end... but it didn't. Then it seemed to lag on for a while later for no good reason.
I read an article in NewsWeek which included an interview with the director. It was pretty interesting to hear what he had to say about this movie being a lot darker, and the fact that we see the icon of Batman fall. He's supposed to be more like what a real person would be like. I liked the point the movie made that when a hero sticks around long enough he becomes a villain.

This movie was one of the best movies I have ever seen simply because of the Joker.
The magic trick with the pencil was the best scene ever in any movie. Nothing will ever top that.
It's too bad that if there is another movie with the Joker, it will not be Heath. He put Jack Nicholason to shame.

After thinking about it some more, I think what bothered me most is that the Joker was wonderfully acted and had great lines and Batman...not so much. So, I kinda wanted the Joker to beat Batman. And in a Batman movie that's just not right.
I pretty much completely agree with this guy's review: http://www.tri-cityherald.com/1190/story/242865.html

I don't know. I'm not a Batman nut, but in every medium I've come across, the Joker always upstages Batman. He's just a magnetic character compared to the earnest, somber Bruce Wayne.professor wrote:I think what bothered me most is that the Joker was wonderfully acted and had great lines and Batman...not so much. Yeah, I think I'm in the minority when it comes to the clock. I was pumped when I heard there is a 3 hour version waiting around for DVD
My only gripe would be spoiler so I'll just say I really liked it overall.

I loved this movie. It totally lived up to the hype in every way. Heath Ledger was brilliant as the Joker and it is sad that he won't be playing the Joker in the next movie. The only thing that bothered me about the movie was batman's voice, but thats so small it doesn't really affect how you enjoy the movie. This was the best movie I've seen all summer, if not in my entire life.
Miss playing footbag, hope to start kicking again soon
