The Vasek Klouda Manual: How to Play Footbag

Post by ednie » 31 Jul 2009 00:12

Hi Everyone,

The Vasek Klouda Manual: How to Play Footbag is a 90+ page eBook written for everyone from beginners to advanced players. In the five months I spent in the Czech Republic I had access to the inner world of now seven-time world champion Vasek Klouda. In many ways this text is the product of those discussion, my questions and Vasek's feelings toward footbag as a sport and a lifestyle.

The book is available for download for US$5 with half of all proceeds going to the IFPA to help fund the future of Footbag worldwide. The text covers three core topics: How to train footbag, The psychology of footbag, and the exact trick tips that will help you to master ever set and every downtime component.

You can read the three page biography of Vasek on my homepage http://www.danednie.com and I will be releasing exerpts there once a week.

The place to download it is at
http://www.footbag.cz/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=70
Or if that link doesn't work then go to
http://www.footbag.cz and click on the second news item.

Thank you :D

I bought it a little while ago and am 27 pages in. I love it so far. It's making me think, and isn't that the goal of a book?

For anyone that read the Vasek book, we can really undertsnad why he is a champion...

Serisouly, he had the physical to play footbag, but he really have the proper way to think for becoming the best...

It worth the 5$ :).

sure, let's all steal from IFPA and our fellow footbaggers by bootlegging their home-made account of progress and training from the most virtuosic player to ever touch a bag...

Yeah, some of the money goes to IFPA, and exactly what C-fan said, they made it cheap so that they could hopefully just trust that everyone will buy it for the good of footbag..

just buy it or don't buy it, your choice

PEOPLE! I strongly recommend buying this book. Even if you don't think you can learn from it (which is not true), you support the players and the sport.

I really enjoyed the book, but the fact that it had so many typos in it got me wondering if anyone is editing the book at the moment?

I've thought about going through and revising it just for fun.

Anywho, I highly recommend this to anyone who is serious about footbag. It's full of information that will drive you to do better as well as appreciate footbag more. It has helped me in many ways, and with the cheap price of only $4.61 you can't pass it up.

In my opinion, i loved the grammatical errors in the book, i kinda forgot why, maybe because that in a world where anything less than perfect is unacceptable, this was accepted and almost all of can agree is really f'n good.

Hey guys, I think the link of payment doesn't work well.

I wanted to buy it some days ago and I watched the way to pay it, and today I was going to buy it, but it has changed, I mean, the way i saw first was paypal and now it's payloadz (or something similar).

Anyone knows if that link is wrong?

hey guys
yeah i took it down for two reasons

1. the number of people buying the book had dropped considerably and it was costing a fair bit to continue hosting it.

2. because its being edited and turned into a print book

i really agree with anyone who criticises the book on its lack of editing. i think it adds to the drama of how it was born, that i was finishing it at 3am on monday or tuesday night of worlds and it was only even uploaded during the mixed doubles on finals night, and that was on the same computer that was doing the video telecast right next to the judging table. i immediately started trying to find the people that controlled the mic and could give me permission to speak. they told me the next open spot was in three minutes and that there would be no more time after that because it would go into the singles final then freestyle. i prepared the speech on a peice of paper and then it was one of my proudest moments to announce it to the world!!! i knew every minute that i was writing it that THIS was the knowledge people needed, and that whole careers would change.
