Gyro/Spinning Fearless Difficulty?

Post by F[uns]tylin' Eclectic » 21 Sep 2011 06:36

I hit my first 555 last night. Spinning Ducking Osis> Spinning Ducking Osis> Mobius. Very happy, but I kind of feel like an all Gyro/Spinning 555 is one of the cheapest ways of hitting 3 Fearless, since it involves less work than, say, stepping or some other uptime dexterity... Just wondering what everyone else thought...

It's all relative. Brian Bear makes that type of fearless look like a joke, like it's the easiest thing in the world. But for a shuffly player who doesn't find spinning natural, that can be super hard. Ultimately, a lot of it comes down to how well you execute it, and therefore how good it looks.

I wouldn't hit something like this now. No way, I've hit maybe 10 different 5-5-5 links and I think maybe once or twice trick included spinning or gyro appear, I don't feel like that are my moves.
Congrats Nick!

I remember shredding with Brian and he could bust out these links like they were nothing.

I've hit a few 5-5's but I've never hit a spinning/gyro 5-5 link. So I guess it varies a ton from player to player.

Shuffle is way harder I say it is cheap. Props anyway.

I think it's all relative.
I can spin pretty well, and it's probably one of the strongest points in my game, but I don't have great crank for osii, so your three fearless link would be tough for me. I could hit 10 blurry whirls or PS whirls way easier than 10 spinning ducking butterflies (and that doesn't even involve osis).

Your combo sounds pretty difficult - spinning out of osis on both sides in to genuine moves. If I were judging sick 3, I wouldn't think that you were add hunting or that your combo was easy at all.

I guess though, people's first 5>5>5 (and indeed most of their firsts probably) is tricks they find easiest, so how you feel makes sense, despite it being a hard combo.
