What's Your ALL TIME Favorite Trick? Why?

Post by F[uns]tylin' Eclectic » 30 Nov 2011 11:32

Ok, sitting in Stat lab, about to start a lecture... Bored as hell... Figured this would be cool to start... This idea came to me last night...

I know it's difficult, but pick and post your favorite trick in footbag. Then briefly explain why... Easy or hard. Post 'em up. I think this could be fun.

Mine: Ripstein, because the motion looks so simple to the eye, but then when you go to try it for the first time... IT'S REALLY HARD... until you practice it :) Also, I think it looks so dope in a long, dense string.

Without thinking much, Gyro DLO, because of how floaty it is, and how satisfying a perfect one feels

Inspinning torque because of feeling like you are master of martial arts when you hit it first time.

marius, when you stick it hard, and the elements are defined, with anti-scoop osis... that feels great.
I must admit i really love how vortex feels too.

blurry whirl. I've always loved how this move looks. Something about the asymmetrical values of it.

Neutronsmasher/Johnny Quest whatever it's called. The first footbag video I saw was "kampa park" and when Vasek hit that I knew instantly I wanted to get good at this.

I can honestly say that I dont have one favorite.....this is like picking a favorite song to me ....which is impossible....my preference changes according to my mood, which player is hitting it, which shoes im in , which way the wind blows.....but to answer according to the thread

I have to lean towards janiwalker......because when I hit it I feel badass...and the trick represents alot to me ......ripwalk was a huge achievement the first time I hit it .....and janwalker is the top player's ripwalk.....it is the half brother to nemesis , and if you hit any trick in or out of it .....janiwalker will make it look even cooler ....especially ripstein.........

runners up are ripped warrior and superfly but pdx torque is my favorite trick to hit.

a good sticky one feels like the closest thing to flying. not to mention stepping/nuclear/symposium/zooming stuff out of a good pdx torque feels buttery.

I know that long after i stop playing freestyle i will still be able to pdx torque.

I think one of my favorite to see is and will always be whirring swirl. This is my trick of choice to show people who are unfamiliar/new to footbag because (especially slowed down) you can see exactly what's going on.

I love Honza in hispeed because his whirrs are ridiculous (basically vertical) and people I show that video are like "Oh shit!" when he does the 2 whirling dexes, but OH WAIT, WHAT'S THAT? ANOTHER DEX??? It blows their mind and will always blow mine, until I get it (in 17 years that is  )

Another one which is actually within reach this new year is scorpion's tail. I always loved the way it looks and I ghost it all the time, can't wait until doing that motion/looking like a fool involves a a nice 32-panel and I can blow some minds with it

Barroque

Classy, difficult, not main stream, feels great to clean it and stick it

Geez...I'm gonna have to go with a clean pendulous double dyno. When they're clean they're so nice.

I totally sympathize with barroque. It is easily the most satisfying trick I have ever hit and was a dream move of mine, as in I never expected to hit it.

That said, I think montage rake is the most satisfying move I have watched.

Great posts guys :)

I want to add another to mine...

Reverse Career-Ender.

It feels so cool to hit and know that you didn't just break your foot off.. Especially sick to BSOS it...

Plus it makes people wanna puke when they see it
