Do barefoot tricks count?
Do you have to be wearing shoes for tricks to count?
It seems so arbitrary to say that you have to be wearing a pair of shoes in order for a trick to count.
While we are at it we should require that you wear one puce wristband for a trick to be legit.

Though the trick should still "count".

Well, it counts in the sense that you hit it barefoot. Different people will react differently to that. Furthermore, it varies dependant on what trick you hit. Barefoot montage vs. barefoot warp. The former is probably harder than in shoes, and the latter is probably easier. Even further, if you have crappy ankles or very strong ankles (Matt, Yves...) than the clipper trick will seen closer to the shoe variant.

i dont have a problem with saying ' i hit whatever barefoot' but im expecting that person to hit it in shoes not long after, if they expect to count as having 'hit' it. I guess its just the accepted way. Shoes makes it harder to hit alot of moves due to weight and stuff, so there is more challenge to it.

Moves only count if hit in either Rod LAvers the China model from Adidas OR in any shoe made by Vans.
If you are balded then OF COURSE it doesn't count if you do a duck!
And if you weigh under 70 kilos, Symposium-moves doesn't count either, and if your legs are really skinny, you don't really dex...
So, if Yves Kreil did got up and did a 30 unique contacts of 3 and 4s barefoot in the Shred30 at the Worlds, he would get a score of 0.

that last post was kind of a joke. what I meant to say was...
when a move occurs under special conditions (barefoot, drunk, in pants, while not watching the bag, while not spilling your beer), it still occurred, it's just important to remember to acknowledge the conditions. Now, granted, everything except barefoot could be considered a total hindrance (drunk, arguably... the last time I hit mobius, it was at GLASS after a few beers / joints. Did it first try with perfect balance), but I can say firsthand, that playing barefoot might make your dexes easier, but makes catches a lot harder. Especially on the toes, for me...
So, yeah... Is it the same as doing a move with your shoes on? no, it's not. Did it occur? yes. If you do it barefoot, just say barefoot before the move name.
I guess the only place this really matters is in competition. i know this hasn't been asked, but I would personally choose to allow barefoot play in tournaments. Maybe one move at a time is easier barefoot for a few select tricks, but linking tricks is NOT.
If someone can play better without shoes on in competition, I think they should be able to do that. I'd like to see who would actually step up and take that challenge for a routine or 30 second shred.
