Taishi on TV
Taishi on TV
Just watched the Taishi segment, and it was one of the best promo pieces I've seen done on footbag. Fantastic work from Taishi and the NHK production team!

Re: Taishi on TV
Yes, very excellent. I'm really impressed by the production team and how well they explained the footbag terms. Also how they explained the dedication and precision needed to get to that level.
Also - were Taishi's thighs always so enormous? Looks like all that Shred 30 action has paid off!

Such great promotion. Well done Taishi and Japan. And you, Ken; thanks for bringing footbag to Japan!
Taishi has always had logs for legs. But you are right; they seem extra enormous.
In the video, I loved the breakdown of the tricks, as well as the commentary. The public doesn't really get to hear that level of detail.

Taishi legs and vlog
When I met Taishi back in 2003, they introduced him to me as a hardcore soccer player who was now interested in footbag. I took one look at his beefy legs and thought: "this guy is built for soccer, not footbag." As it turned out, he ended up having a great footbag career. But yeah, there are certain tricks that are just going to be straight up harder for people who don't have lanky legs.
Putting this video here so I can watch it later:
Interesting perspective on the BAP meeting from 10-12:30 mark.

Re: Taishi on TV
The Taishi video can now be seen for the next one year, instead of two weeks. Thanks to whoever setup that.
