Ankle crank
So, I understand ankle flexibility is important for the sport *cough*understatement*cough*. I wouldn't say my ankles are particularly inflexible, but I was wondering what kind of stretches/exercises I could do to improve my ankle crank.

Re: Ankle crank
There are plenty of awesome players that lack ankle crank. but still rip. It's not a super necessary thing to have to play footbag.
To improve ankle flexibility, however, I have a few different drills for you…
1) Hold the bag on your instep, doing an inside stall, and just lift it up and down until it starts to burn. Then do it more.
2) While standing, put slight pressure on your bent ankle.
3) Hopovers (if you can't get these yet, don't worry, it's tough at first but you'll get the hang of it.. as you do them, your crank will improve).
4) I'm pretty convinced that improving calf strength lets you crank more. I wore ankle weights just walking around my old campus for a while, and I am pretty sure my crank got stronger after I stopped wearing them for around half the school year.
Any questions, let me know. Good luck.
