Hello.
I am considering going to this event but I am not all that great yet and was wondering if the event will have many intermediate players or even newbies that I would be able to shred with? Would a noob like me be wasting their time to attend this event? It seems like alot of very experienced shredders are the only ones going.
Also, I have only been to Edmonton a few times, but never had to get my own accomodations. I was wondering if there is anything around where the event will be that would be cheap?
Anyone with any details, I would very much appreciate some help.
Thank you,
Andrew Dunford

Hey Andrew,
A few intermediates/newbies should be attending from around the edmonton area. The event will also be open to any ymca members who would like to watch or learn a bit about freestyle. I don't think a newer player would be wasting their time attending the event. A great thing about playing with more advanced players is they can give tips and help teach new concepts. I find I learn from even just watching different players in person. In addition to straight up shred, we will be also doing some stuff like 4 square and other random games Byrin and I tend to make up (i.e keep it up, coaster wars, footbag mini golf) that a player of any skill can enjoy.
As for accomodations, we will have room in our homes to host anyone that would like to come. If you would prefer to have your own hotel room I could also help you find something inexpensive near the event site.
Hope you can make it!

So what's your plan James?
Kyle told me that they'd arrive in missoula at around either 8 or 10 am on thursday (can't remember which of those two times they said).
Soooo stoked. This is going to be the first tournament where I'm finally feeling confortable with my style
