Chilly Philly
Chilly Philly
What's the word? Is it too early to start askin about it?
Actually, now that I think about it, I've been out of the loop for a while. Does Chilly Philly still happen?[/i]

Philly literally wrote the book on organizing tournaments. Look at the sticky in this section about "How to organize an event" or whatever.
It takes you here:

This was written by Bob R who still lives outside of Philly and I'm sure if you contacted him he'd be glad to help you where he can.
This stuff is pure gold. I used it last year a little bit to run TX states, I wish I would have actually worked a little harder to get sponsors and such, but it's still VERY helpful. Now I am doing the same thing this year and going all out with it. I visited 10+ potential sponsors today pounding the pavement trying to get leads. Event planning is challenging but very rewarding and fun. You will make mistakes, it's OK cuz you will learn from them. If you just want to do a small scale jam to get your feet wet that's cool. But you guys have organized periodic monthly shreds in Philly before so you kinda know what you're doing, plus you go to Temple so obviously you're smart. You guys can do it. Feel free to PM with me any questions. The hardest part is just getting started. Good luck and have fun,
