Cornell Jam 2: Thank you for coming!
I think I can make it. And if I do, I'll donate bag(s) for prizes and the bag I was *suppose* to stitch for you over the summer, Ken.

Doesn't it feel cool?Matt K wrote:Bump me up to the first list.
Adam: the Candian $ has reached parity with the USD, so hopefully that will help your money situation a bit.
Oh, and the Felix thing is just part of a running joke. We still have Clavens and Flash, and possibly Jorden and Willie Digges, so there will still be high level of play.

I think I am coming AND I want to play net!!!yyz wrote:I have a very good indoor set up that does not need spikes, how ever the harder(there not really hard just roll alot) bags can not be avoided. would be nice too give a small demo. I am currently debating with edna about comming. let me no about the net through this post or call.
All the sudden I love net and I think pretty soon it's going to boom in freestyle again.
So bring your net set and we will play!
Also, I am going to be buying some net shoes before I come, Nike Air Max's to be exact.
So lets bump me to the cool list for now and I will sort out the details later.
Hey Liam, maybe I can ride with you guys??

Exciting.

OK! Things are shaping up. It's looking like its going to be an even bigger turnout than last year!
A few questions/points
1. I would like to start getting a head count of who needs crash space. Last year we did it on a first come, first serve basis, and it worked out well. I think people rotated from night to night too, so nobody was stuck on the floor every night. I would like to repeat this practice this year. After speaking with Luis, we determined it's not feasible to reserve couches for specific players.
2. We will definitely order Wingz again this year, since it was such a success last year. We will also provide maps to the restaurants in Collegetown, but people are probably best off just ordering Wingz and pizza to the frat house.
3. There will be a juggling show, just like last year. I will find out ticket prices tonight, and buy in advance for people who want to go. I highly recommend going, because it's a fun show, almost everybody goes, and on top of that, Pete Irish will be performing. Last year tickets were $10.
4. If you need crash space and/or want to go to the juggling show, please send me an e-mail at my last name at g mail dot com. My modified inbox tends to fill up too quickly. I would also like to hear what events you are most interested in having at the event. At the moment 4square is the only guaranteed event. We are thinking about running circle, routines, Sick 1/3, etc.
5. I spoke with the director of the juggling tournament, and he told us that we cannot do net inside the venue location. It takes up too much space, and it also is more likely to disturb the jugglers than if we just do freestyle (no hard objects flying out of our area at fast speed). You CAN set up a net outside, provided you do not put spikes into the ground. Keep in mind that Ithaca at the end of October is cold outside, so if you plan on playing net, bring warm athletic clothes for outside. This was the best compromise I could work out.
6. Thank you to everybody who is sponsoring this event. If you are bringing your prizes with you to the tournament, great. Please let me know by email if that is the case. If you are sending your prize by mail, make sure it gets here no later than October 26th.
