To Do List
Find roomates, 4 people per room(legitimatly)
Find sponsors
Fill out the poll

Just thought I would get the excitement rolling early, and help inform the public about the details when they are confirmed. For now, I will just copy everything that Mr.Ott has put up.
This event will be in the Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida and will
be one of the biggest footbag events ever. The Wide World of Sports Complex
is one of seven theme parks at the resort and will be the home of the 2007
IFPA World footbag Championships.

www.disneyworldsports.com

Lots more information to come. Here is what I know now.

Hotel:
We will all be staying at the Disney World Resort: All Star Sports Resort.
The rooms will cost $60 per night. This cost can be reduced per player by
having four people in each room ($15 per night each) or any other combination
of roommates. I suggest we all get together and find your roommates to lessen
the cost. I can also assign roomates for those who need help. I will be
contracting with a travel agency to help coordinate your room reservations.

Transportation:
I will be contracting with a travel agency to help coordinate air travel and I
will get that information to you soon.
The resort has internal bus service and will give us good access to the sports
complex as well as other parts of the park.

Theme Park entrance:
We will have discounted tickets to the other theme parks inside the Disney
World Complex and you can visit them as you wish. The tournament schedule
will leave time for all to spend time at the parks.

More details to come.
and the e-mail sent out 11/25
It is my pleasure to announce the 28th annual IFPA World Footbag
Championships, now confirmed for August 11-18, 2007, at the Disney
World Wide World of Sports Complex in Orland, Florida (USA).

The World website is coming soon, but until then, please check out the
footbag.org event page: http://www.footbag.org/events/show/1163784775

You can get more information about the Disney sports complex at:
http://www.disneyworldsports.com

We will be in the "Milk House" for freestyle and the showcased events
on the final days. Preliminary net rounds will on the HESS sports
field, just next to the Milk House.

I will be announcing a travel agent soon who will be arranging our
rooms, theme park tickets and flights if you want. Housing details
will be posted soon, but we are staying at the Allstar Resort complex
which will allow up to four people per room for $60/night total.
(This is a great price.)

I have created a few forum topics to talk about this event in more detail:

General discussion: http://www.footbag.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4143
(talk about the event)

Roommate connection: http://www.footbag.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4144
(learn about housing options, and find roommates)

Any one who needs some kind of reference letter or other document in
order to find funding or to get a visa to travel to the US, let me know.
Either reply privately to this e-mail, or find me via my profile
(http://www.footbag.org/members/profile/chris).

I encourage all players to seek individual funding from local or
national sponsors to help fund this trip to the USA and Disney World.
Start early to give yourself time to create a relationship with your
representative or agent. Even work out a deal where they fund your
entire footbag event schedule for the summer of 2007 in return for
representing their brands in public. There are lots of great events out
there that could use larger attendance. Funding is the key. Go to
work!

Lots more information to come.

So check it. I live 1 hour away from worlds! How lucky did I get!!! :P
I guess moving here had its perks.

Orlando should be sick, theres a ton of stuff to do. Im really stoked on it coming the the States, let alone, an hour from me.

Yes, its going to be hot. I've gotten over it, you will too.

Now that I keep thinking about it... the better it gets.

I am coming. I am. I am coming... to worlds. I am.

Gunna try to figure out the costs:
(these are all estimates)
flight: ----------------------------------------$1000.00
room: (15x7=)------------------------------$105.00
sustenance: ---------------------------------$150.00
footbags/shirts/other: ---------------------$125.00
Total: -----------------------------------------$1380.00
Rounded up: --------------------------------$1500.00

$1500.00 in roughly 9 months (more like 8, for me actually):
hell! that's only about $185.00 per month that needs to be put away.

NO EXCUSES!! I'M SO STOKED!!!!
