What Did YOU See At Worlds

Post by Maraxus » 19 Aug 2007 10:51

Fun topic. I'll start.

I saw Jim Penske hit triple whirl super clean.

I heard that Vasek taught Clavens and Moir how to do a clipper stall; Vasek style.

I felt like this worlds raised the level much higher.

I saw Dave Clavens at the airport, going to a gate two away from my own (Air shredding, doing the whirrs).

I saw Vasek staying two doors down from my hotel room, and practicing his routine at like 3 in the morning.

I saw many excited passerby at the hotel.

I saw lots of fat people.

I saw lots of angry moms.

I saw sooooo many video cameras.

I saw my first nemesis (yay Jim)

I saw my first nemesis bsos (yay Dave)

I saw a shit ton of incredible routines. Wow. Kevin Crowley's especially since it was completely unchoreographed.

I saw Steve Goldberg (way cool guy in real life)

I saw Tina Aeberli (WTF SHE'S GOOD, Janiwalker looks so easy for her!)

I saw Dave go dropless 3 TIMES IN A ROW. That's a first since 1989 I think is what they said. Mad props. I would have been pissed if he missed BAP.

I saw lots of Quantums. Most people like them, except for the toe box (I like the whole shoe, it's perfect).

I saw Justin Dale helping out anybody he possibly could. He knows so much about this sport, it's awesome.

Lon getting burned by the coffee machine

Vasek hitting 5 quad dexes in one run.

Some one put a frog down Red's shirt!!

I saw a huge turtle swimming in the water.

I watched Jorden bust out on the crazy carpet. We had a bomb session that day.

I watched Mosher do some raquet bag, he tears it up.

Lon's shred 30 was bad ass. He broke 260.

Vasek's final routine was awesome.

It was cool to see Tina in person. Her shred 30 was great.

Claven's ripping it up!!! He's one of my favorite players to watch. And he makes great bags, I was shredding one all weekend.

Phil Morrison's a pimp, it was cool chilling with him, he seems to be good at everything. He won the poker tournament. We mobbed in pool and foosball.

Ashley D. is a pool shark.

I saw Sam C. filming EVERYTHING. I'm sure the video will be good.

I watched Vasek eat all the food at Jon's house. hahaha

I was walking up the stairs to my room to eat my cereal. I turn the corner and there's Vasek, he stands up slowly takes my cereal and starts eating.
 So I sat there and shared a bowl of cereal with the champ.

Video of drunk Milan hiding in closets.

Henry's crazy pinky toes.

Tina destroying my Shred 30 score.

Dave hitting 10 unique fearless with a broken back and then complaining about being no good.

Will Digges footing alpine janiwalker.

Lon's warm up for routines (aka sleeping).

Dave coming into Byrin and Kevin's house, introducing himself to 4 of us (we had already met him), and then leaving immediately to go skateboard.

People getting thumped in Mosher's house.

A group of us keeping a balloon in the air with only our heads and breath. During which Jorden says, "Man, this is more fun than footbag!"

Fire hack at the Freedom house.

Everyone at Worlds cramming into the Freedom house for Big Add Chad's birthday party.

Dave taking off his back brace right before doing his first routine and then going dropless.

I saw a huge snapping turtle with Slim Jim.

I caught a fish off the dock with a piece of fishing wire and a bare hook.

I got outdrank by someone smaller than myself.

I saw a Volcano for the first time.

There were toads everywhere.

A friend almost got hit with a home run softball in the parking lot.

"Over My Head" routine by David Clavens doesn't miss a beat.

Epic session with Flash, Destroyer, Slim Jim, and Myself.

Getting people from the BAP to go to Cracker Barrel Restaurant for dinner.

Breaking 260 with my 2nd ever dropless shred 30.

Kickin it with countless footbag players in multiple locations.

Staying up all night with Stephen Barnes waiting to fly out sunday at sunrise.

What a great event. I wish I could go every year.
Lon Smith
