I plan on being there. Evan doesn't know if he can yet and I haven't talked to Aaron yet.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

I'm getting about 5 days off in a row for this event... you people have no excuses this time, the world championship isn't in the us, so you don't have to chose which one to go to

I have the air miles to go to this. I'll try my best to make this trip happen.

I found a cheap flight.
What about

Rides to and from the airport? Public transit?

Crash space... or is anyone down for splitting a hotel 4+ ways?
Really want to go, but I remember 2 years ago the cab ride to the airport was ridic.
Can you take public transit to and from the airport? If so, where's the info on how to do that?
Red I would appreciate if you could post that info for people coming in from out of town so that we can start making travel arrangements sooner rather than later.
I <3 Portland, really want to make it out this year.

there is a public transportation system in portland called "tri-met"
The Red Line runs directly from the airport to downtown, and it goes by a few hotels and a bus line that leads right next to Red's house. It costs about $2 for a 2 hour ticket (effing expensive, but it's better than a cab...)
