Clavens to Europe

Post by david » 06 Mar 2010 13:33

Hey,

I was thinking about going to Europe between June 15 and July 15. I haven't heard any news on Euros at all and that was going to take up a few days, but besides that I'm free. I can't see any other tournaments during that time on footbag.org as of now.

Is there anyone who lives in a cool city who would be up for shredding and showing me a local's point of view? I just started playing again after a 4 month break but I imagine I'll be alright by June. I'd like to plan out some footbag players to meet on my journey.

Reply or drop me a PM.

Thanks,

David Clavens

if you like to come to Madrid you have a place here depending of the dates, because we all are going to Euros.

since u missed worlds last year, u could make it up by visiting us this summer. :)
theres a shred and spike session about every day with lots of people and, besides, berlin is quite nice at this time of year.
crash space isnt a problem either...
looking forward

I highly recommend Berlin, and staying with Paul. The whole city is awesome and the crew there is especially cool. I just wanted to plug FC Footstar because I know how fun Berlin is :)

Definitely make a trip to Berlin.

I already sent you loads of stuff about Copenhagen. But I have space and I am willing to shred and show you the sightings for a few days.

Copenhagen is a rad city. Ask Matt or Tom M about that.
(I think Paul C agrees aswell hehe)

Berlin rules so much, you should go to Vienna too, all the footbag players there are super nice, and it seemed a very relaxed city when I was there.

Awesome stuff in this thread guys, thanks so much. The one thing I am curious about is that everyone is mentioning Euros, but I can't seem to find information on it anywhere online. Could someone help me out? There is no footbag.org event listing.

David,

As an EFC member i can confirm that Euros will be in Brussels, Belgium.
The local crew is planning to run in in the end of June, or beginning of July.
It hasn't been confirmed yet.

Is here anyone from Brussels club?

Recommendation for Paris:
I had never talked t anybody from the Paris crew before I came to town.
We played. We hung out. They made crêpes. It was awesome.
Super sweet guys (and Serge is good at footbag)!

Asmus, we're still waiting for your visit for the second creeps round! :P
or maybe we should do it at your place!!

Btw David (and everybody!), French champs will be held in Montpellier July 3-4th, a nice city in South of France..
Same spot as Euros 200...8 = central city square..

15 minutes from the sea...

so, your plan is ........ Brussels --> Paris --> montpellier --> spain.................

Hey David,

Me and the other UK players are planning a get together in London, the 2 days before Euros (23rd and 24th)

Although we probably wont have many players and wont have a free place to stay, it should still be cheap and we'll play at some key London spots, with the hope of seeing some more of the city apres shred

You would be warmly welcomed if you have the time and desire to hang out and explore London for a couple of days (or more) before heading to Brussels
