I voted for June, but I don't know why...

I'm definitely going to State College, PA, for the Ian Brill's Art Show jam in mid-April.
I'm definitely going to Richmand, VA for Ryan Thomas's big sports-expo thing in mid-May.
In-between, in early May, (May 5-6, or May 12-13) might be a sweet-spot for me.
There are some very cool sounding music-fests near here that I want to hit on June 2-3 and June 16-17, so June 9-10, June 23-24, or June 30-July 1 could work well for me.
There is always Memorial Day -- many people have a long weekend -- its just that traffic is notoriously bad...

edit -- come to think of it, July might be the most open time...

I voted June, my bday is the 26th, which means I take the whole month off and get all crazy in this bizzle.

For real though, i'm down for any of those months.

Can't wait to get me some beantown action.

Any time is fine with me as long as I don't have to deal with screaming drunks in the dark morning hours of Dorchester.

whats the deal hogan? im asking you to deflect responsibility. my only job at these jams is to provide the party location, the party favors, the party attitude, and the ability to almost get arrested even as the jam organizer.
but yeah we should do it.

I'm actually gonna have to side with Nathan on this one. September, only because if we do it in September, Nathan, Ivan, and I (since we'll all be living in the same house) and probably plenty of other PSU'ers can all travel together. And we're actually doing club rush this year, I believe, so maybe we'll have some new blood join us on our journey.

ECFC is happening in NYC in September, plus there will be an informal NYFA jam just like last year. We should try to space things out right, I think NYFA jam should be in late july and beantown in mid-late august then late september ECFC. We don't want all the events in the area to get lumped together.

Some of September suits me. Labor Day weekend is Sept. 1, 2, and 3. This weekend used to always be Funtastiks... but now the weekend is free for other things... I'd go to Boston that weekend. On the other hand, as a holiday weekend, some people might have other plans, and traffic will surely be nuts.

The following weekend, Sept 7-8-9, is the Catskill Chill Music Festival. I'm pretty sure that I'm going. I'm pretty sure that Drew Martin is also going. Since its nearby to him, I'm going to suggest to Mark Bull that he should go too. Its not very expensive, and pitching a tent there is free, so I'm gonna suggest that other people go too and we can shred that place down.

The next two weekends, Sept. 15-16, and Sept. 22-23, look okay to me. But I think Sept. 15-16 will be better because the last weekend of September, 28-29-30, is gonna be the East Coast Championships. I'd say that Sept 1-2-3 or Sept 15-16 would be best for me because I might be helping with last-minute preparations for East Coast Championships on Sept. 22-23.

I would also do August 25-26...

First off, screw you Pete.

Second off, I support a Boston Jam, but will most likely not be a local if it happens in September or later, and will therefore be unable to offer crash space.

As always, everyone is always welcome to come and kick whenever. But right now it's looking like September is the popular choice, while August would be a better intermediate between NYFA JAM and ECFC (which is also in NYC, correct?). Maybe we should follow suit and throw a jam in August and late september? DOUBLE DOSE of Boston.

Is there' any other northeastern region that would be interested in hosting a jam in August?
