Played tonight with Chad Dave and Brett. My back feels like shit. I'm making a promise to myself to stay away from high intensity moves for a while. Whatever that means.

Didn't hit much tonight, frontside legbeater was the coolest trick, I had some good guiltless runs but can't remember specifics. basically practiced guitless a lot.

here come the pictures. finished bag 9 today. I screwed it up on the last panel by not gathering enough, so I repaired it by snagging the thread at the hex to hex, gathering it more, tying a knot around the loop and slipping it back in... if that makes sense.

putfile sucks, reposting pics later.

Fix the pictures please.

Fun hanging/kicking with you in portland scott, maybe i'll see you at sjff.

Thanks Charles, I will actually be back in Paris in November, sometime around the 17th-18th to the 25th-26th. I'll be coming with my family though, so I won't be able to shred much. :( One, maybe two days I'll be able to come to sessions. Really looking forward to shredding with you guys instead of just watching in awe.

Had about a 3 hour session with brett and dave today, for the last time before brett goes away to school in/near seattle.
ripwalk>ducking clip>ducking clip>ripwalk
ripwalk>dlo>toe whirl>drifter
ducking clip>drifter>drifter>ducking clip
diving clip>whirl>ducking clip rpt
dlo ending on inside first time hitting it, first try. dlo>dlo strongside only, footed flip
zulu mirage
footed pixie ss drifter

simple swirl, ss butterfly swirl, op toe butterfly swirl, footed flip but everytime i try it makes my knee feel weird so i have to fix that
17 contacts of butterfly>pdx illusion rpt
Started trying toe barrage because I figure my out-in double dexes are a long ways off, might as well start doing the other doubles. I hit it once strongside, it was thin/the though.

my guiltless game is getting better slowly but surely.. I didn't try any intense/high impact moves today, and my back feels tight but definitely in much less pain than after last session.

Aahhhh That sucks! I think because of my school schedule I won't be able to change the dates, but I will do what I can.. that would be awesome to attend the french open!

Just got back from Humboldt, I had 2 sessions while I was there with my friends Ben and Eric, and this new freestyler Isaac (skimhumboldt) on the forums. I traded bags with both of them! so now I've got 2 mini's I have to break in. I'll post pics later, the dufflebag is radiation pattern around 50g, the isaac bag is fuschia (sp?) and yellow around 75g (too heavy, hurts to kick.)

Hit some good stuff while I was there, can't remember any of the guiltless runs specifically but I had some good ones. Ben hit his best run ever with me, it was around 20 contacts with symp mirage bsos sealed with osis>hand catch. my friend eric hit his first legovers BS also.

I can only think of a few things worth posting from my shred, tapdown>osis>dlo, dlo>tapdown>osis, made about 20-30 attempts at Alpine Legbeater, came painfully close. I cleared the dexes at least 5 times, but missed the butterfly. I'm going to try and hit this in the next few sessions.

lol, I got a scale today so accurate measurments are possible now. I would suggest "raping" it till' its squshy and soft, (theres a decent amount of gather on that one so i dont think any stitches will pop out) maybe a wash or two, then take all the poly pellets out and add a little shot to it. then it should be pretty choice. Like i said, if it breaks, ill replace it.

Cool, thanks Isaac, I'm stoked on that bag let me know how mine turns out. :D

Had a decent session today with dave, we were both sweating buckets after about 10 minutes and kept it up for 2+ hours.

ducking clip>ducking clip>osis rpt
clipper>double pickup (it was like a whirling pickup, I saw sunny doing it at the us open and decided to try it, hit it 2nd try... makes me think i can hit whirr if i give it enough tries.)

ducking clip>diving clip>ducking clip>pdx whirl
pdx drifter>infinity rpt
36 contact tiltless, a few 10-15 contact guiltless
flail both sides, I think i'm not going to do this move until my back feels 100% though :(

hmm cant remember anything else good..OH i tried flip eggbeater 25 times and hit it once.. haha.. for the first time... hahaha... also hit flip torque, didn't give that the full 25 tries I said I was going to though.

fun session, halfway through stitching bag # 11.

For the last few weeks/months I've been way too indulgent with bud/alcohol... today was day #1 without smoking for quite some time, I'm going to try and make it at least until I get back to santa cruz before i smoke again, and then cut way back... wish me luck. :?

I'll give you 10 bucks if you can hit a clean whirr in 50 tries. You have to document it on video though- no fancy schmancy editing funk!

Jeremy that signature.. you're such a rebel. I'll do that once i have a camera again. That would be pretty neat if i could make 2 whirls at different heights edited together look like a whirr but uh...

anyways, went to a new chiropractor today, she seems legit. she cracked me a few different ways and I feel better, I have another appt. tuesday so hopefully I'll get all fixed up before i come back to SC.

finished bag 11 for dave... I kind of want to keep it, I'm going to see if he'll let me make him another one haha. This is the best bag in the universe.. made by me. It's a little bit bigger than a golf ball, 55 grams.

Session at hb pier with dave today. seemed to get tired really quickly, but i kept playing for a while, i think it was about 1.5 hours? then a jump in the ocean.
ripwalk>ducking butter>ducking pdx mirage>10-15 guiltless
first run of the day was probably 30 contacts, both symp pixies and mirages, butterflies, osi, pdx mirage and illusion, and a bunch of 2's... I said "probably the best run of the day." and i was right.
ripwalk>blur into a run
pdx illusion>dlo>symp pixie
ducking butter and ducking pdx mirage bsos same run :D
20, 28 infinities, infinity over a curb... we did 10 turns each of just infinities, it's fun to see how far you can go in a straight line without dropping, mixing in pdx mirage too. Couldn't beat my record of 32... I want to hit 50, 50 BOP's too.

got applause from a few people today, it was nice. :D OH, went to a good chiropractor finally, she cracked me all into place and i'm feeling a lot better. I'm still a little bit uncomfortable but it feels much much better, going to take it easy for a while still just to be careful though. Probably going to try and train (jiu jitsu,) on monday and test it out.

haha, I tried symp egg today and my back screamed at me.. it's feeling much much better than it was though, it doesn't even hurt after sessions now, just when i do certain things it feels uncomfortable/ a little pain. Today's session with chad and dave was GOOD for me.

 Alpine Legbeater BS clean and sealed :D :D :D
 7 4's in a run, ripwalk>ripwalk>blur>....>legbeater>...>ducking butterfly both sides and repeated one side

 legbeater>pdx drifter>ducking butterfly
 ducking ps mirage and phoenix in a run

a few good runs, had 10 unique guiltless but didn't reach my goal of 20 non-unique.

Fletcher,

Hey, I've been keeping up on your blog for a while now, and finally decided to say hello.
I started to play footbag around the same time you did, and by most accounts I've been progressing pretty quickly, so I always get a kick when I log on to see you pulling that little bit farther ahead. You never cease to amaze me. I've been close to a few alpine legbeaters, and was entertaining ideas about even hitting it before you at least on one side, then I read the above post...

Anyway, the main point of this post was to introduce myself and go from lurker to odd-time contributor to your blog, and give massive props to you for your continued improvement... and motivation for me to go for progression harder than ever! Keep it up!
